THE FAIRYS SECRET

by loving Daddy

Neyis entry into the abode of Fairies in the enchanted Island was just
not an ordinary event or a mere accident. It had a greater purpose to
serve, as it will be clear in this part of the story.
There lived a demon .Her name was Rancey. Rancey was made up of
fire. Like fire was her burning heart. She was very rude. She was full of
pride. She always wanted to have her own way without any regards for
any rule of law. She was brutally corrupt to her bones. Though she was
beautiful to look at with all proportionate figure, her constant sly
revealed her crooked nature on her every gestures. It was her over
ambitiousness that was the root cause of her evilness. She envied the
happy go lucky type nature of the island folks. She was also jealous of
rich resources and the beauty of the island. Ever since she saw the
island she made it her dream to rule over this paradise on Earth by
hook or by crock.
It so happened that once Rancey with a fairly large group of her creed
was flying over the mighty sea .She felt very thirsty as she was flying for
hours together against the hot blazing sun. She was desperately looking
beneath for some fresh water to drink when she came upon the Fairys
Island. As they descended to quench their thirst, they were captivated
by its serenity. The cool water, the warm hospitality of the inhabitants
and the plentiful bounty of it niche made them to explore it. In a matter
of days they came to know the immense potential of its folk, land, Air,
Water, as well as its flora and fauna. Being greedy, they carried a deep

desire of possessing the island with all in it for themselves rather being
grateful to the Islanders.
Rancey along with her evil company hatched a series of conspiracies to
take over the fairies. To begin with, the demons presented themselves
as harmless nomads looking for a short stay. They pretended to be very
good by behaving very well. They tried to win over the Islanders by
indulging in sweet talks and sycophancy. They theorized that the Fairies
were the nicest of Gods creations and it gives them much pleasure to
be of some services to them. Day in and day out they played second
fiddle to them, shamelessly always trying to please them.
The Fairies being simple minded accepted their sycophancies for real by
most of them especially the youths and teenagers. This strategy of the
demons had two impact both in favor of them. The first was that the
misguided Fairies got used to listening to the sugar coated artificial
glories about themselves which in turn made them seek pleasure in
themselves and their creed alone. Secondly, the demons got a chance
to come more closure to the Fairies. The demons were very pleased to
see the early success of their misdeeds. They went a step farther when
Rancey told these misguided young Fairies that it was unbecoming of
them to tilt land and do other manual works. She reminded them that
they were very special creatures, therefore, they should enjoy their
special status by behaving appropriately fit enough for lords and lord
lings. They may happily chose to leave those jobs of lesser dignity to
others or to demons themselves. Again as anticipated by the demons,
many more young fairies fell victim to this and gave up to laziness.
These misguided Fairies indulges in idle pastime wasting the most
important resources. When they became idle, they turned empty
2

headed. These empty headed beings were the workshops of the

demons. With exaggerated sweet words, the demons their way into
the ears of the Fairies and from ears into the anatomy of them. Now
demons into the head of these Fairies made them demonist and they
soon begin to act like one. Many of them took pleasure in wickedness.
Laziness, discord, disharmony, lying, stealing which were unheard of
came to be prevalent among the demonized fairies. The vast majority of
the Fairies who were still safe from the influence of Rancey and her evil
company, were shocked to learn the unprecedented decaying behavior
of their own creed. When the matter was taken to the Chief Fairy of the
Island, she was very disturbed. At once she convened, the council of
Fairies in the great council Hall, which was in the vicinity of the castle.
All the high ranking counsellors attended the deliberation. At length
they discussed the disruptive activities of the demons at the behest of
Rancey. The wise counsellors expressed their empathy with the
misguided young Fairies and condemned the harmful activities of the
demons. The counsellors were unanimous in their decision that it was
high time that Rancey and her company should be confronted at once
and stop her from victimizing any more innocent young Fairy into her
trap, though there were differences in their approach of tackling of the
challenge. A few counsellors were in support of confronting Rancey and
her company with brutal force and do way with the menace once and
for all with the help of the help of the powerful creatures of the Island,
but the vast majority of the law makers were of the opinion of solving
the matter peacefully by agreeing to talk over the matter with Rancey.
The latter counselors argued that spilling blood on the Island would
spoil the sanctity of the Island. Also they believed that for permanent
3

solution to any problems could be found in peace and not in violence.

The chief Fairy, having paid a patience hearing to all views and having
weighed all possible options before her, she decided to approach the
problem in most peacefully. She appealed her counselors to give
peaceful approach a chance. It was quite a task for her to convince her
counselors to come to a single decision. It was decided to set up a five
member committee of senior counselors to engage with Rancey and
her company and to recommend necessary measures to stop them to
carry on their harmful activity immediately.
The five appointed counselors at once set out with the task of settling
the issue in hand. The committee decided to send one of their able
members to summon Rancey to explain her deeds and why she should
not be vanquished from the Fairyland.
When Rancey came to know about the summon, she became furious.
Her burning eyes were glowing red and she was breathing fire. She
started her verbal abuses. She tried her best to rationalize her evil
deeds with irrational logics. To the surprise of the emissary, a few
misguided young Fairies were seen siding with Rancey, against their
own elected senior counselor. More than Ranceys behaviors, the
ill-treatment of the emissary at the hands of his own youths brought
him immense pain. In spite of the constant taunting by Rancey and her
aid, the emissary kept his head even. Like a true diplomat, he kept his
cool all throughout the talk and eventually convinced Rancey to sort the
differences in the court of the committee of the counselors.
On the appointed date and time, Rancey appeared in the court of five
bench counselors. She was accompanied by some of her trusted aid.
4

When the court charged her of misguiding the youth of the Fairyland
with idleness and false prides. Rancey reasoned out that it was her job
to remind the Fairies of their rightful position in a civilized society. She
argued that the noble creature do deserve some freedom, fun and
fancy. She justified her acts by saying she bore no over or covert trick
nor she meant any harm to any. She opined that she didnt force
anybody to her opinion and any one was free accept or otherwise. The
wise counselors, however, on cross examining Rancey and her
accomplices, concluded that Rancey was indeed a mischief maker who
needed to be brought to justice to maintain the peace of the Island.
Yet the just court decided to give some time for an in-depth study of
the case from every possible angles, least they should commit any flaws
and asked Rancey to appear again on the same day of the following
week.
In the meantime Rancey instead of undoing her doings or being
apologetic, she pursued her vices with renewed strength and
determination, even to the extent of introducing intoxicants to the
youths of the Island. This enabled her to wean away many gullible
youngsters into her fold. This made her bolder and more ambitious.
While Rancey was busy in reinforcing her troops, the wise counselors
were busy in studying the case very objectively and on the new light of
the sterling facts of degrading the virtues of the young Fairies, they
drafted the verdict. According to the verdict Rancey was found guilty in
a dozen counts of grave crimes and therefore she needs to be
vanquished immediately from the territory of the Fairyland or face life
imprisonment inside a huge oak tree that stood really tall in a remote
wood of the Island.
5

On the second court appearance, Rancey and her closed aid were
declared guilty beyond doubt. A copy of the verdict was handed over to
Rancey while the leading counselor was reading the verdict. Rancey
reacted sharply rather in a most strange and fearless way then any one
could have imagined. She stood up from her sit lit with a sly smile on
her lips, looking straight into the eyes of the leading counselor tore
down the pages of the verdict and sung one of her most favorite song
with great haughty, which has been reproduced as below:-

I SHALL KEEP
Come sun or may come Rain,
Come storm or whatever Pain,
I gonna try it, I gonna make it,
I really yearn it, I gonna have it,
If require I gonna snatch it.
Im strong, I do worth a lot,
To rule this island of comfort.
To her I shall match my forte.
For her I shall hit and haply weep,
But this beautiful Island I shall keep.
6

So singing her most favorite song walked closure to the counselors with
the intension of harming them by casting a magic spell on them and
turning them into statue of stone. But the wise counselors came
prepared that day. They did anticipated mischief, therefore, they came
with all possible options opened including a giant. This giant was a
great wizard too, who lived in another tiny island overlooking the
Fairyland. Being good neighbor, the giant and fairies came to help each
other whenever there was such a need. This good natured giant was
really powerful one, not because he could stand 9 feet or shrink to 9
inches short at will but because he knew a great deal of magic of all
kind. The wizard acted swiftly just in time. Before Rancey could cast her
demonic spell on the wise counselors, the wizard sieged her by
swinging his magic wand on her. Rancey was terrified at the sudden
turn of the event which she was not prepared for. She came down on
her knees and pleaded for her safe passage. The counselors having
already signed the verdict, had decided not to hear her plea. Rancey
cried and cried but in vain. Having seen her pitiable condition, her close
aid did tried feebly to beg her freedom, but when threatened with the
same consequences, they kept quiet and agreed to vanish away from
the island immediately. As they were leaving the court room, Rancey
spoke in a strange tongue to them. They took note of her words, bade
her good bye. Straight way they then went to inform the remaining
demons about the latest development and by the fall of the darkness
they all disappeared into the unknown destination.
The wizard with his magic spell arrested Rancey and locked her up into
the great oak tree of the remote wood as instructed by the counselors.
7

The good giant wizard on the request of the chief fairy, detoxicated the
misguided fairies with his healing magic. These youth on rehabilitation
felt as if they got up from a long night mare. They promised to get into
their good olden behavior of virtues of humility and hard works. The
wizard then went up to the chief Fairy to hand over the key of the great
oak tree inside which Rancey was imprisoned. She also assured the
Fairy that it was not possible for Rancey to harm any more as long as
the key is safe with her. He, however, insisted that care should be taken
to keep vigilant against her creed, especially her cousin sister named
Srechu who lives in a cave under the deep sea. Srechu is known for her
short temper and ruthlessness and it was quite possible that she might
play some mischiefs in and around the Island.
True indeed, Rancey had succeeded in sending her message across to
her notorious cousin sister. Srechu drew her first blood fairly soon by
axing none other than good giant wizard himself. It happened as the
wizard was flying back to his native Island, after his successful mission
of containing Rancey, he was caught in a severe storm with blinding
velocity over the deep rough sea above the clouds. While he was
negotiating his way through the violent storm, he lost his balance. His
magic wand slipped away from his tired hand into the turbulent sea
beneath, while he too came crushing down into it. With his aching
muscles and without his magic wand, he was as helpless as a child. He
found himself struggling against the cruel waves. He could not see
anything as massive layer of sea form covered all over his body. He was
merely struggling to survive. Taking advantage of the grim situation,
Srechu unleashed her brutality on the helpless good giant wizard by
nailing him all over his body. He bled profusely. The salty water had its
8

acidic effect on his wounds and he was in great pain. The multiple
injuries, effects of sea on his wounds and his exhaustion made him
senseless. The rough sea weaves tossed him constantly with the
rhythms of the sea. Srechu took it to be the worst, gave out a smile of
satisfaction on avenging the disgracing of her sister. She dived back into
the cave into the bottom of the sea. As soon as she dived into her hut
of stones, storm clam down, for the storm was her creation to take on
the good giant wizard.
The next morning, some Fairies found the tattered semiconscious body
of the wizard on one of its shore. They were shocked to see the
wounded good giant wizard in such a state. His whole body was
covered with open wounds. It was his sheer good luck that got him
drifted to shore of his friends. The Fairies nursed him for days till he
regained his health. On regaining sense, he narrated his unfortunate
incident with Srechu, Ranceys cousin sister on his way back to his
native Island and how he lost his magic wand into the deep sea. With
the loss of his magic wand he lost all his magical abilities. But what
worried him most was his fear that if it fell into wrong hands it could be
used for wrong reason. He was also worried about the possible threat
to the Island from the cruel Srechu. The chief Fairy took note of his
concern. She appreciated his courage and sacrifices in getting rids of
demons. As a reward she knighted him for his contribution for the
wellbeing of the Islander. She played down his worries saying God and
Angels have grace and prayer for all good beings. A warm farewell was
accorded to him as he flew to his native Island.
On that afternoon, as the Chief Fairy was relaxing on her balcony, she
was visibly disturbed at the thought of the likely threat from the new
9

found enemy. Like a concerned leader, she was weighing in her mind all
possible challenges that her Island faces and ways to tackle them. She
was absorbed in deep thoughts but more she thought the more she
grew tensed. But soon she pulled herself together, closed her eyes and
send out a solemn prayer for divine intervention. When she opened her
eyes she was in for a pleasant surprise. She saw an elegant dove flying
swiftly towards her. The dove was carrying some object wrapped in a
red silk. The dove on reaching over the chief Fairy dropped the object
gently on her table, gave a graceful glance to her and flew away as
swiftly as she had come. Eagerly, the Fairy took the object from her
table and on unwrapping she found out that it was an old scroll. The
scroll was written in some strange script, which wore a look as show

The wise fairy looked at the content for a while and a radiant smile lit
her beautiful for she succeeded in deciphering the message. She looked
towards heaven and said a prayer of thanksgiving. The Fairy decided to
10

keep it as a secret to herself only to be revealed at appropriate time.

The scroll was one of her most important secrets. This happened much
before Neyi and mother found themselves in the Fairyland. This explain
how important and specialty of her being in the Fairyland.
