Shop manager for Save the Children- non- profit organization on a voluntary basis, responsible for 520 volunteers. Duties include admin, finance and banking procedures .Data inputting, health and safety
and stock management control, staff training and merchandising.
Job description or role is to raise as much money and awareness as possible, whilst increasing
the growth in income and net shop contribution on an annual basics in accordance with the
regional manager. Whilst maintaining the high standards in stock control, customer service and the
merchandise.
Gift aid trained, with extremely high targets achieved in relation to new donors and repeat donations.
Good Team leadership is essential and results have shown skills in this area are extremely vital and
important in the running of a volunteer based retail shop.
Health and safety, risk assessment and Data protection are all within the Job description and business
skills are a extra bonus.
NVQ-2 in retail management is currently on going, which covers all of the above and also the creative
side of retail shop merchandising.
Customer service workshop was successfully run for volunteers at a different shop in September 2012,
with noticeable improvement in sales.

Self- employed Owner of after school dance club Funky Footsteps.
Teaching dance to children aged between 5-12 years in Primary schools in the district of Brighton and
Hove. Encouraged children to have fun with dance, whilst keeping fit. Team building, self-confidence
and co-ordination all played a huge role in the dance club.
Community projects such as Take part Festival were an important annual event for the club. Over 150
children across Brighton and Hove benefited from the dance club.
CRB certificate held along with knowledge of Data protection, child protection policies and public liability
insurances.
