A regenerative brake is an energy recovery


mechanism which slows a vehicle or object down by
converting its kinetic energy into another form,
which can be either used immediately or stored until
needed. This contrasts with conventional braking
systems, where the excess kinetic energy is converted
to heat by friction in the brake linings and therefore
wasted.
Families living in rural areas who do not have access
to the national grid may have to travel long distances
and wait long times for their batteries to be
recharged at commercial centres.practical action has
developed reliable and cost effective wind energy
systems for charging batteries to help meet the
electrical energy needs of these people. Small scale
wind energy generators also have the potential to
stimulate village-level charging enterprises for either
community or private use. Therefore practical action
aims to develop and promote local industries capable
of manufacturing and maintaining the generators.
This can be designed to generate electrical energy
when vehicles cross the breaker and roll the roller
based speed breakers connected with an alternator.
Here we have fabricated the booms. This equipment
has been mainly developed for ships. This equipment
is very useful for ships for loading and unloading the
materials. Here we are using motor to rotate the
whole arrangement to front and rear end of the ship.

persons are enough to do that work. What the


benefit appear here means, manpower is totally
reduced. It not only helps in this field, but also can
use in industrial purpose for robotic based jobs.
In this project we have designed and fabricated
automatic paint sprayer with shape sorter. This
system uses compressed air to spray the paint. Spray
painting is a painting technique where a device
sprays a coating (paint, ink, varnish etc.) through the
air onto a surface. The most common types employ
compressed gas usually air is compressed by an air
compressor to atomize and direct the paint particles.
Shape sorter is nothing but the identified different
material is passed through the conveyor for packing
process or counting the finished material. In many
industries they are producing different types of work
pieces, in this finally they are using man power for
collecting one shape of work pieces from the lot. It
takes more time and also man power for separating
the work pieces is also involved. To avoid this we are
using the DC gun with help of electrical arrangement
to separate the different shape of work pieces after
the painting is completed.
The project deals primarily with lower capacity
bottle filling machines used by small to medium scale
companies and excludes high speed rotary bottle
filling machines typically found only in the mass
market beverage and pharmaceutical industry. In
contrast, the bottle filling machines discussed here
are used throughout all industries including food,
beverage, chemical, cosmetic and pharmaceutical
but at lower speeds. In fact, most of the market for
bottle filling machines in terms of units sold is for
semi automatic equipment that operates at normal
speed. Our model consists of a solenoid valve, non
return valve, pneumatic cylinder, a motor, proximity
sensor and a Geneva conveyor.
Here we fabricate a multipurpose vacuum cleaning
machine. Its a new innovative concept. This
equipment has been mainly developed for cleaning

also for home applications. The project consists of
following parts vacuum arrangement, wheels, handle
and control unit.
Here we are fabricating automatic bottle filling and
cap closing machine which can be used in industries.
In this, we are using a pneumatic cylinder which can
be operated by a solenoid valve. This project reduces
the human effort in factories and this gives higher
accuracy as compared to that of the manual work.
The components used in this project are Motor,
geneva mechanism, Pneumatic cylinder, Solenoid
valve, proximity Sensor and Control unit.
In this project we have fabricated the multi level car
parking system. This is a new innovative concept. In
this project we are using rope, pulley, motor,
proximity sensors, rack and pinion arrangement,
frames and control unit. Using this equipment we
can easily lift the cars to the required area. This
equipment is very useful for parking the car in
shopping complex, industries and departmental
stores, etc.
The objective of this project is to control solar panels
position depending upon the sun light. Nowadays
power demand has increased due to this power
failure happens many time. This project is designed
to provide the solution for this power loss. This
project is designed with LDR, signal conditioning
unit, limit switches, microcontroller, and driver
circuit along with motor. Solar panel consists of
number of silicon cells, when sun light falls on this
panel it generates the voltage signals then these
voltage signals are given to changing circuit.
Depending on the panel board size the generated
voltage amount is increased. Naturally suns direction
varies per hour. In order to get the efficient voltage
amount the solar panel position has to vary as per
the suns direction.

This project is specially designed to clean the floors


with a mechanical equipped device. Nowadays it is a
time consuming process to clean the floors in
shopping malls, apartments, theatres and offices and
also it is a must to keep the environment clean. So we
are doing a project to meet this problem with a
mechanically equipped device. This is a manually
operated device, which contains chain drive, cam
arrangement, mopping arrangement and bevel gear
arrangement for cleaning the floor.
The main objective of this project is to design a hand
which is operated with help of servo motors. This
project helps in gripping of materials in various
applications. Here there are finger like grippers
which acts same as that of human fingers for various
gripping purposes. The main parts in this project
used are servo motor, ropes, fingers, control unit,
and rope guide pipes
In canteens and all restaurants, it will be very
difficult for the cooks to cut the cheese by knife and
it is time consuming. In order to avoid this, here we
are providing a cheese cutter which cuts the cheese
within a quick time. So in order to improve the
automation in catering industries, we are
manufacturing a prototype model which can be
utilized by all restaurants, hotels and as well as in all
cheese and milk factories to cut the cheese. The
model consists of two motors and two proximity
sensors
The objective of this project is to control the
humidity level of the land. This project is mostly
used for agriculture purpose. According to the
cultivation there is need to maintain humidity in the
land at a particular level. This project is used to
control the humidity in the land.

In our project we are fabricating the pneumatic


brick making machine, it is operated by pneumatic
cylinder. In olden days or even now, most of the
brick making industries use human power to make
bricks. If it is very few number of bricks it is easy
and advisable to use human power but when it is
huge in numbers only machines can perform faster,
and easily than human. Continuous working of
workers leads to fatigue. By considering the above
difficulty we have introduced a new concept called
pneumatic brick making machine. This project is
designed by following blocks, Control unit,
Pneumatic cylinder, Motor, screw conveyor, Brick
die.
The objective of this concept is to design the
automatic medical shop- tablet and syrup vendor
system with help of control unit. Here the medicine is
highlighted by certain alphabets. The tablets are
separated and arranged in different trays. The
required tablet and syrup is deduced from the lot by
pressing the buttons. So the specified button codes
are already feed in the control unit. This system is
mainly used to save the time also avoiding the
mistakes done by the human. Project consists of DC
gun, Tablet collecting tray, rotating container, worm
gear arrangement, proximity sensor and Control
unit.
In this project we are fabricating multi tool changing
machine. While during machining operations, its so
difficult to change the tool every time. So, to avoid
this crisis, we are modeling a multi tool changing
machine in which we can do three processes such as

This analysis deals primarily with lower capacity

In this project we are fabricate the coin based pen
vendor. Using this project we can easily get the
required pen automatically. The project is very
useful for college and school stores and also useful
for stationeries and departmental stores. The
equipment consist of the following parts, motor,
IRRX and IRTX, Pen holding arrangement and
Control unit.
The problem of determination is accessible region of
a robot working in industry. This problem appears
in the case of introducing a robot or a number of
robots in an existing manufacturing system. An
additional problem is raised when investigating the
above and has to be solved. For each serviced
location the robot has to rotate in desired location.
The main objective of this project is to reduce the
human fatigue and also to reduce the man power
and to observe the workers. Here we have fabricated
the supervisor robo for industrial environment. Its a
new innovative concept. This equipment has been
mainly developed for supervising the industrial
machines and workers to identify the workers
whether they are in their places or not. To avoid the
human fatigue and to reduce the man power here we
are using the crane and proximity sensor with
arrangement of camera, and we fixing the limit

In this project we are fabricate the electromagnetic
mobile scrap collecting machine. This concept we are
using the vehicle model, electro magnet, handle and
control unit to make the equipment. The
electromagnetic scrap collecting machine is operated
through less electrical power and the cost is less. So it
is suitable for small scale industries and workshops
to collect the scrap.
The objective of this project is to design a material
handling equipment using gear mechanism. Really
we can use this concept in many mechanical
industries, chemical industries for material handling
like inspection process for the machined
components. By using this equipment we can reduce
the human fatigue and save the work time etc., This
concept is used in the industrial companies for pick
and place application.
Here we have fabricated cnc punching machine its a
new innovative concept. This machine has been
mainly developed for small and large scale
industries. This machine is very useful in produce
number of punches. Punching in metalworking is the
process of using a punch press to push a punch
through the material and into a die to create a hole
in the work piece. A scrap slug from the hole is
deposited into the die in the process. Depending on
the material being punched this slug may be recycled
and reused or discarded. The hole walls will show
burnished area, rollover, and die break and must
often be further processed. Punching is often the
cheapest method for creating holes in sheet metal in
medium to high production. Here we are using the
numerical control to run the machine, and it save the
time and man power requirement in the industries.
In this project we design a job rotating attachment
for milling machine by using the bevel gear method.

importance in last few decades. This importance is
due to its accuracy and cost. These are the main
reasons for choosing pneumatic energy in the JCB
equipment. The major components in the project are
pneumatic cylinder, air gun, worm gear arrangement
and bucket.
Objective of this project is to protect the farm from
the unknown persons and animals with help of solar
energy. In the hills side, due to presents of lot of
animals the farms are often destroyed by them, so the
human has to protect and secure their farms. But
now-a-days there is no time for the human beings to
do the work. Hence to avoid the human interface
(security) and also to protect the farms, we provide a
system called automatic electric farm protection

The objective of this project is to secure people from
wild animals using fence electric shock using

taken for cleaning is very less and cost is also very
less. In our project it is a very simple drive

children. The size of the machine is also portable so

The present invention provides an automatic guided
system for transferring scrap resulted from at least
one scrap source of a clean room to a scrap exit. The
automatic guided system for transferring the scrap
includes a rail module and a vehicle module. The
rail module connects a first predetermined location
to a second predetermined location. The first
predetermined location is a garage for providing the
vehicle module to await an order or a collecting
workstation for treating the scrap material resulted

How could it be possible to run on air? Consider the physical work


that compressed air already does to make our everyday lives easier.
Mechanics rely on air-driven pneumatic tools every day to turn nuts
and bolts with authority in garages around the world. Pneumatic
tools are powerful, even at a relatively low pounds per-square-inch
(psi) pressure setting. They can free rusted-on lug nuts and separate
metal from metal through an air hammer or pneumatic chisel.
Crank the pressure up and compressed air is a force to be reckoned
with, providing enough power to even propel a wheel driven car.
Now the project has mainly concentrated on a suitable electronic
control unit has been designed for automatic clutch. The fabrication
part of it has been considered with almost case for its simplicity and
economy, such that this can be accommodated as one of the
essential tools on automobile garages. In our project, the switch is
fixed below the braking pedal of the four wheeler. The solenoid
valve with pneumatic cylinder mechanism is used to
pushing/pulling of the clutch automatically, when the braking pedal
is pressed.
The working principle of Electric Electric car basically involves
two process, The first process Battery to be charged one The
second process involves when the vehicle is running by means of
an electric motor which drowns power from already storage battery.
The vehicle is driven by means of a motor. The power to run the
motor is supplied from the battery, as the battery is already charged
by the Electric panel power.
During this process the speed of the vehicle will be less and there is
no smog forming pollutants produced during the vehicle runs. The
vehicle is powered by means of electric motor the Electric panel

motion. This arrangement is done through V-belt pulley.

running same direction for the forward and reverse direction

the vehicle is powered by means of electric motor the
power from the internal combustion engine will be
disconnected from the shaft by loosening the belt. The
mileage of the vehicle while running on the electric motor
is mainly depends upon the time of charging and also
depends upon the capacity of the battery.

get constant D.C. output and also to avoid the reverse flow of
current to the panel in the case of no load a charge controller
have been used this help us to allow only the constant voltage
of 12V D.C. to the battery and also it act as an blocking diode
and protect the motor principle.By this way the battery gets
charged then this D.C. storage is given to an inverter this
inverter inverts 12V D.C. to input in to AC output, step upped
in to 230V.The 230V AC supply is given to the supply t phase supply.
The advanced wheel chair for handicapped consists of one set
of spur gear. This one set is takes power from the motor shaft.
And this is used for giving power to main shaft of the chair.
A motor which is coupled with the spur gear and it is runs at a
maximum speed of 1440 rpm. Say for example a handicapped
person want move a certain distance for taking some books
from the self or he wants to take some dresses from the self.

The multi-purpose cutting machine is provided with a V


pulley of C.I. Slider having belt drive. This pulley is
connected to the motor by a V belt. When the motor is
started, the main shaft of the cutter also starts revolving at the
same speed. The running speed is 1440 R.P.M. The rotation
will be of vertical direction because of cam mechanism. The
main shaft drives the horizontal shaft. The speed is also
reduced in the ratio of 1: 12. When the main shaft rotates 12
times the horizontal shaft will rotate only once. The machine
enables us to get 12 strokes / minute. The cam is keyed to the
horizontal shaft. The cam is made up of cast iron piece. The
link is connected to the cam stud.
The pneumatic multi purpose device is an air operated device
used for many small operations. It is a portable one.
Compressed air is the source of energy for this device. The
compressed air is allowed through the nozzle in such a way to
rotate to fan. The rotation obtained is utilized for machining.
The nozzles are welded to the barrel at an angle to facilitate
free rotation. The fan can be rotated in either direction by
operating the one way corks. The rpm and torque of the shaft
depends upon the pressure of the air admitted so by varying
the pressure the rpm and torque can be varied. The parts are
interred connected by thick tubes. Clamps are used at the
connecting parts to prevent leakage. In threaded parts thread
seals are used to prevent leakage.Here the compressed air
from the compressor firstly enters the control unit. In the
control unit the pressure of the air is controlled and sent to the
barrel to rotate the fan in any one direction. The air from the
compressor enters the gate valve. The gate valve controls the
pressure and volume of air. Then the pressure is read by a
pressure gauge. Then the air is admitted to the barrel through
any one of the two one way corks to rotate fan. In the barrel, a
shaft is placed and if carries the fan. The shaft is supported in
either and by bearings. The bearings are placed in the
couplings, which covers the ends of barrel.
The water tank is fixed on the top of this equipment which is
used to store the water, the solenoid valve fixed below the
water tank and it have two ports one is connected to the main
pipe another one is connected to the water outlet pipe. The
center of the equipment contains the wash tray arrangement

The block diagram of pedal washing machine is shown in


figure, it consist of a bevel gear, rotating plate, sprocket chain
mechanism and frame stand. The cycle chain sprocket chain
mechanism is used to transmit the power from the pedal to the
main shaft. The rotating plate is jointed in the end of the main
shaft. The pressurized water is used to supply the water in to
the dish washing plate continuously with the help of multihole nozzle. The outlet water is collected to the inlet tank once
again with proper arrangement.
Here we are using one key, which act as a control switch
for pneumatic. Microcontroller always check the key
whether it is pressed or not, if the key is pressed, it will
give a low pulse to the controller. When the controller
receives a low pulse from key, then it ON a pneumatic for
gripping the object. When the key is pressed second time,
the controller will off the pneumatic. So that the wise will
release the object. This process will go repeatedly
whenever the key is pressed. These are all done by
microcontroller coding. Air compressor is used for
ON/OFF the pneumatic, when the compressed air is
passed to the pressure control valve; the required
pressure is obtained by adjusting its knob. When the air is
passed to the flow control valve, the speed of movement of

piston (pneumatic) is controlled by adjusting the


knob.

This machine includes a first functional portion known as


the bar support which assures the feeding, holding and
driving of the bars. This part is provided with a set of
spindles in which are respectively introduced the bars of
material in question, which bars project from said spindles
towards the cutting tools mounted on a supporting
structure. It includes a great number of pinions and gears
meshing together in order to be able to drive in rotation all
such movable elements and so as to furnish them with the
necessary mechanical torque whilst, for the rest, enabling
their relative displacement, whether this be in translation
or in rotation. It can thus already be noted that the high
number of parts in such first functional portion leads, in
known lathes, to a very substantial space requirement and
weight.

The complete diagram of the power generation using


railway track is given below. L-angle frame is inclined in
certain small angle which is used to generate the power.
The pushing power is converted into electrical energy by
proper driving arrangement. The rack & pinion, spring
arrangement is fixed at the railway track which is
mounded bellow the L-angle frame. The spring is used to
return the inclined L-angle frame in same position by
releasing the load. The pinion shaft is connected to the
supporter by end bearings as shown in fig. The larger
sprocket also coupled with the pinion shaft, so that it is
running the same speed of pinion. The larger sprocket is
coupled to the small cycle sprocket with the help of chain
(cycle). This larger sprocket is used to transfer the rotation
force to the smaller sprocket. The smaller sprocket is
running same direction for the forward and reverse
direction of rotational movement of the larger sprocket.
This action locks like a cycle pedaling action. The fly wheel
and gear wheel is also coupled to the smaller sprocket
shaft. The flywheel is used to increase the rpm of the
smaller sprocket shaft. The gear wheel is coupled to the
generator shaft with the help of another gear wheel.The
generator is used here, is permanent magnet D.C
generator. The generated voltage is 12Volt D.C. This D.C
voltage is stored to the Lead-acid 12 Volt battery. The

battery is connected to the inverter. This inverter is used
to convert the 12 Volt D.C to the 230 Volt A.C. This 230
Volt A.C voltage is used to activate the light, fan and etc. By
increasing the capacity of battery and inverter circuit, the
power rating is increased. This arrangement is fitted in
highways; the complete arrangement is kept inside the
floor level except the railway track arrangement.

The windmill is fixed on the wind blowing area. The motor


is fixed at the bottom of the windmill arrangements. The
center of the windmill motor shaft is attached. The motor
is used to turn the required direction of the windmill to air
flow area. The direction controlling arrangement is fixed
on the area not affected by wind blades air force. The
direction controlling arrangement consists of sensors,
control unit, direction indicator and motor. The direction
indicator is a light weight and it is arranged on horizontal.
It will rotated depends upon the airflow direction. The one
end of the direction indicator is used to identify the
direction of the wind flow by using sensor. The sensor is
fitted below the direction indicator which is shown as in
the bellow diagram. The sensor indicates the correct
direction of airflow and also gives the instruction to the
control unit to rotate the required angle in windmill motor
for rotating the wind blade directions.
In this project battery provides the power supply to the control unit.
The equipment contains totally six motors, two motors are coupled
with the vehicles left and right wheels of the front side, the next
two motors are connected to the vehicles left and right side of the
back side. The four motors are used to run the vehicle. Another two
motors are connected to rotate the vehicle wheel 90 degree by the
chain drive arrangements. The keypad in the control unit has six
keys they are left, right, forward, reverse, park left, and park right.
We press the left key in the keypad the vehicle turns left side in a
required angle.
