Bobcat Product Options for Construction
Efficient, Productive Ways to Grade

Equipped with any of a wide variety
of Bobcat attachments, a Bobcat
skid-steer or compact track loader
is the smart way to move dirt.

In addition to the standard bucket,
your choices include the heavy-duty
construction/industrial bucket. The
strongest of all Bobcat buckets, it has
side cutting edges and a high-carbon
steel front cutting edge for tough
digging conditions. The low profile
bucket offers a longer bottom and
excellent cutting edge visibility for
easier grading. The large capacity
snow and light material bucket is
perfect handling light materials such
as snow and mulch. It has a high
back for pushing and straight sides to
help penetrate piles. Use the bucket
adaptor with over-the-tire loader
tracks to lower the heel height for
improved grading performance.

The hydraulic tilt-tatch, which
fits between the Bob-Tach system
and non-hydraulic buckets, uses

fingertip controls to rotate either
side of your bucket up or down 15
degrees from center. Its the fast,
easy way to cut a level path on a
side hill, dig drainage ditches with
the bucket corner or adjust your
grade without repositioning your
loader.
Close the clamshell of the multipurpose combination bucket to dig,

doze and level dirt or open it to work
like a box blade, grapple or dumping tool. This popular attachment
has heavy-duty cutting edges and
cylinders for long life. The bucket is
designed to produce optimum digging force and maintain visibility to
the front cutting edge.
Featuring electric-over-hydraulic
controls and a reversible cutting
edge, the dozer blade adjusts six
ways for maximum controllability
when dozing, leveling, cutting slopes
or swales and grading. Adjustable
shoes add to the ease and convenience of operation and depth control.

The grader attachment simplifies
rough grading projects. It features a
7-ft., six-way hydraulically-controlled

moldboard. The moldboard offsets to
the right or left in 6-in. increments,
or a total of 12 in. in either direction.
It is operated with switches mounted on the loaders steering levers for
precise fingertip control. The moldboard has a reversible cutting edge
that is easily replaceable.

The box blade attachment makes
flat grading jobs easier. The 84-in.
box blade is designed for rough

grading applications. It is controlled
from the operators seat with the
center switch on the right control
lever. Moving the switch right or left
will raise and lower the bolster, and
in turn raise or lower the box blade.
This attachment has a reversible cutting edge and comes standard with
foam-filled tires for added flotation.
The optional laser control system,

combines a durable laser and receiver
to control the blade precisely and
automatically within .25 in. of final
grade. This eliminates the time and
expense of checking the grade manually and reduces material costs.
Available in single slope and dual
slope models, the system can handle
crowns, banks or inclines for a wide
variety of grading jobs including
parking lots, driveways, roadways,
runways, building slabs and landscaping. 1

s a landscape and irrigation
substantially, says Scott. It does
contractor based in Hoover, Ala.,
T.K. Drake, Inc., had a long history
of renting compact equipment.
Sometimes the company needed a
skid-steer loader; on other occasions
a mini loader. About the time owners
Terry Pruitt and his son, Scott, were
experiencing poor performance with
a rented mini loader, they heard
about the Bobcat MT52.
On the next job we discovered
the Bobcat mini track loader was a
superior product, says Scott. It
turned out to be the best investment
we ever made.
The Pruitts especially like the
way the MT52 makes them more

For example, says Scott, on a
renovation job I can use the mini
track loader to dig up all plant material, load it in a truck, grade the site,

When it comes to plowing snow
around an automotive dealership, a
utility work machine can be much
more valuable than a truck with a
front plow, according to David
Weaver, president of Wheeling
Automotive Group, Wheeling, W.Va.
We used a truck with a plow
and it just wasnt handy, says
Weaver. It was too big for a car lot.
When you have someone trying to
maneuver it down the rows of cars,

when working on uneven terrain, the frame
level feature of the new V723FL keeps the
machine level when the ground isnt. Its great
for lifting and unloading palleted materials or
other kinds of work when one wheel of the
machine is higher or lower than another. A
unitized frame for more strength and durability
and an easy-to-service side-mounted engine
add to its value.
We use it every day, says John

Krukemyer, Bowling Green, Ohio,
store manager of Mid-Wood, Inc., a
farmer-owned cooperative. Because
we have found so many things it
can do, the VersaHandler TTC has
turned out to be a very worthwhile
investment for our company.
All three divisions of the organizationretail, rental and agronomy
regularly use the V518.
It is especially busy in the spring.
Thats when ag lime is loaded into
spreaders at the companys fertilizer
plant. Then the fast-moving VersaHandler TTC goes to the retail area
to load pallets of materials, such as
stone and pavers into customers
trucks.
At times we have to load five or
six pallets onto a vehicle, says
Krukemyer. With a forklift we had
to keep shoving them in which
could damage the truck. The V518
allows us to place a pallet instead of
having to slide it.
Next the telescopic moves to the
bulk area where the 1-cu.-yd. bucket
makes loading material such as
mulch a breeze.
We really give it a workout in the
spring, says Krukemyer. Several

The 334 excavator is used for
repair jobs, as well as assisting the
directional boring crews for various
size conduit installations. That
machine provides the longer reach
(almost 17 ft.) we need for working
in yards where we dont want to
disturb the surface, says Burns. It
also allows us to stretch a little further when loading.
