*Vermetus : Any one of many species of marine
gastropods belonging to Vermetus and allied genera, of
the family Vermetid. Their shells are regularly spiral
when young, but later in life the whorls become separate,
and the shell is often irregularly bent and contorted like a
worm tube.

Gender of irregular atelostomaton echinoeidon of the family of Spatangidon, who lives from the
Cretaceous period of Mesozoic era until today (145 million years). Fossils of different species of the genus
found within the strata of Cretaceous and Tertiary and especially within the Aptian and Eocene . The
illustrated fossils were found in Kastelli , Kissamos , Kriti Island , Greece in 2011.
