Strategic Plan (Goal)


The Assessors goal is to provide fair and equitable assessments to the taxpayers and to serve
the residents of Santa Rosa. The Municipal Assessors Office is a realty tax department that commits to
attain maximum efficiency in the appraisal and assessment of real properties for taxation purposes
whose delivery systems are designed to the highest standards and whose employees are adopting the
principles of professionalism for the taxpayer and clientele satisfaction in providing quality service. The
office maintains the assessment roll-the document that contains every propertys assessment. They
make sure that the Physical description, or inventory, and value estimate of every piece of real estate in
the municipality is kept up-to-date. Computer assist assessors in assembling managing data, in
performing sales analysis, in developing uniform and consistent values and in efficiently managing tax
administration. The use of computer- assisted mass appraisal systems improves assessment uniformity.
