CLASS SCHEDULE FOR TRAINING YEAR 2004

The courses listed below will be taught at Midlands Technical College, Northeast
Campus, at 151 Powell Road, Columbia, SC 29203. Directions to the campus are on
the Advance Sheet for each course. Uniform is BDUs. When you sign up for an
individual course, an Advance Sheet will be sent to you by CW5 Lewis at Olympia
Armory.
EXCEPTION: The Senior Officer Course will be taught at Olympia
Armory. Uniform is Class A or Class B uniform.

January 24, 25
1. Primary Leadership Development Course (PLDC).
This course is designed for personnel in grades E-2 thru E-5 who have not taken
the Basic NCO
Course. Successful completion of this course is required for promotion to E-5.
2. Basic Noncommissioned Officers Course (BNCOC) Part # 1, Part 2 offered in
February.
This course is designed for personnel in grades E-4, E-5 and E-6. Successful
completion of this
course is required for promotion to E-6.
3. Basic Officers Course (OBC) Part # 1, Part # 2 offered in February.
This course is designed for personnel in grades 0-1, 0-2 and 0-3. Successful
completion of this
course is required for promotion to 0-3.
4. Basic Military Police Course (BMPC) Part # 1, Part # 2 offered in February.
This basic course is designed for personnel with no previous M.P. formal
training. However, this
initial course will be open to all ranks, as space permits.
5. 1st Sergeants Course (1SGC) Part # 1, Part # 2 offered in February.
This course is designed for personnel in grades E-7 and E-8 who are assigned to a
1st SGT position.

6. Senior Officers Course (SOC) Phase # 1, Phase # 2 offered in March. 24 Jan


04 only.
This course is designed for personnel who have successfully completed the Officer
Command and
Control Course (0C2) and be in grades of 0-4, 0-5 or 0-6.
7. Spoken Spanish (For SCSG and Rescue Personnel). The length of this course is
four (4)
Saturdays, January thru April. Do not sign-up for the course if you know that your
will not be able to
attend all four months. This course is designed to teach basic Spanish words and
terms which would
be used in an emergency situation. Open to all ranks.

1. Basic Noncommissioned Officers Course (BNCOC) Part # 2.
2. Basic Officers Course (OBC) Part # 2.
3. Basic Military Police Course (BMPC) Part # 2.
4. 1st Sergeants Course (1SGC) Part # 2.
5. Spoken Spanish (For SCSG and Rescue Personnel). Saturday only, Jan thru
April.
6. Basic Orientation Course (BOC) 28 Feb 04 only.
This course is designed for newly assigned personnel in the SCSG. It will discuss
terminology,
uniforms, customs & courtesy and other pertinent items.

March 27, 28

1. Primary Leadership Development Course (PLDC).

This course is designed for personnel in grades E-2 thru E-5 who have not taken
the Basic NCO
Course. Successful completion of this course is required for promotion to E-5.
2. Officer Command and Control Course (OC2) Part # 1, Part # 2 offered in
April.
This course is designed for personnel in grades 0-2, 0-3 and 0-4 who have
successfully completed the
Officer Basic Course. Successful completion of this course is required for
promotion to 0-4.
3. Advanced Noncommissioned Officers Course (ANCOC) Part # 1, Part # 2
offered in April.
This course is designed for personnel in grades E-6, E-7 and E-8. Successful
completion of this
course is required for promotion to E-7.
4. Sergeant Majors Course (SGMC).
This course is designed for Sergeant Majors, promotable E-8s in a SGM position
with the
Command Sgt Major approval.
5. Basic Military Police Course (BMPC) Part # 1, Part # 2 offered in April.
6. Senior Officers Course Phase II.
7. Spoken Spanish (For SCSG & Rescue Personnel) Saturday only, Jan thru April.

APRIL 24, 25

1. Officer Command and Control Course (OC2) Part # 2.


2. Advanced Noncommissioned Officers Course (ANCOC) Part # 2.
3. Basic Military Police Course (BMPC) Part # 2.

4. Primary Leadership Development Course (PLDC) If sufficient interest.


5. Spoken Spanish (For SCSG & Rescue Personnel) Saturday only, Jan thru April.
6. Basic Officers Course (OBC) - Part # 1. Part # 2 will be offered in May .
MAY 22, 23

1. Basic Training Open to all newly assigned personnel with no previous military
experience. This
course may also be taught at the Brigade level.
2. Basic Officers Course (OBC) Part # 2.
