Strengths:
o Location: The Buddh Redi is located in between Ram Bhavan and Buddh Bhavan. This is
a strategic location as it is nearer to three hostels covering a huge number of students.
The same is evident from the survey. Most of the students agree that one of the major
reasons for liking this place is location/proximity to the hostel/class.
o Variety: The redi offers a wide range of items. The students like variety, taste and
freshness of food offered here.
Weaknesses: The redi is able to attract good crowd but often fail to gain most out of it as most
of the people who visit here would spend in the range of 19-49. This reduces the profits. (Exhibit
1)
Threats:
o Demand Fluctuation: Limited time of demand and fluctuating demand has ill effects on
the inventory and in turn the profits. As they are dealing with perishable goods, piling of
inventory on demand expectation would be dangerous.
o Competition: The major competitor for this food point is the redi at Krishna Bhavan.
Most of the respondents have chosen this as the most other frequently visited redi
apart from Buddh Redi.
Opportunities: This is the only redi coverig three bhavans. Hence, expansion of business is
possible by offering more variety, retaining present customers and attracting new customers. s
The redi should strive to reduce its operating costs. This is due to the limited spending pattern
per head.
They also need to increase variety of food available to grab new customers and retain old
customers.

item at this redi is around 20 rs so by looking at spending pattern we can say on a single visit customer
prefer to have two items these combinations are generally Sam chat and Tea or Maggi and Tea. Here
Redi owner have good chance to increase sell by giving discount on these combos to attract more
customers to purchase combos

way while coming from Class. This redi has strategic advantage of location as it is only redi for Ram
Bhavan , Budh Bhavan and 3 Malviya Bhavans . There are only 18% respondents who visit this redi
beacuase they like the taste and only 5% thinks it is cheaper than other redi. Reason to vist is major area
of concern for this redi as students are opting this option just because they dont want walk more so it is
