Details of Laptop with Barcode Demo, Technical specification

To run the CMPIC barcode demonstration, start the MCL-Link software, then logon to CMPIC as the CMDEV
user and access the Demonstration (DEMO) project.
Note: When running the CMPIC demonstration, the MCL-Link software must be running at the same time as it
acts as the bridge between the barcode scanner & CMPIC.

5 Reinstalling CMPIC Schema

The installed CMPIC schema contains 3 projects, one of which (DEMO) contains data in a suitable state to run a
demonstration of the CMPIC Barcode function capabilities.
Once a demonstration has been completed, the installed schema should be refreshed back to its original state.
This can be achieved by running the CMPIC installation scripts via Cloudis Builder.
The steps involved in refreshing the schema are as follows,

Start Cloudis Builder

Ensure the currently selected Instance & Schema are XE & CM (the default)
Ensure the script directory is set to C:\CMPIC\admin\build\cmpic
o Should have a description of Standard Cloudis CMPIC schema setup
Press the Restart button to clear the logs of the previous schema refresh
Run each script in turn via the Execute button

Notes

There will be no need to reinstall the License Manager as this is already installed.
The installation includes an export file containing the barcode demonstration data in a pre-demo state
that is automatically used by the reinstall process.
All steps should run successfully apart from 250_pkerr.sql, which will indicate that package
PKG_EDP_CMFILEIO has errors. This message can be ignored as the functionality it references is not
supported in Oracle XE.
The CMPIC Publish/Load Utility (PLU) is not supported against an Oracle XE database and so will not be
installed.
