Safety and Driver Assist. The new body has integrity where it counts. And a variety
of intelligent and responsive systems that combine to work on your behalf. To reduce
the likelihood of a collision, there are active safety systems. And if a collision becomes
unavoidable, the multiple passive safety systems deploy to help protect you and your
passengers. The 2015 Golf was also named a 2014 IIHS Top Safety Pick+* for 4-door
models equipped with the optional Driver Assistance Package.** Proof that when it comes

Driver Assist Features

Safety cage. Sleek on the outside, tough on the inside. Underneath

the exterior of the Golf is a tough safety cage designed to help
protect each and every person inside in nearly any situation.

Intelligent Crash Response System (ICRS). In the event of a

collision that activates the vehicles airbags, the Intelligent Crash
Response System automatically unlocks the doors, turns off the
fuel pump, and turns on the hazard lights.

Automatic Post-Collision Braking System. Not every collision

brings a car to stop. Thats why we made the Automatic Post-Collision
Braking System. It can help keep your car from moving after a
collision, helping reduce the chance of any additional impacts.

Adaptive airbags. Youre virtually surrounded by safety in the

Golf with four airbags, including mounted Side Curtain Protection
airbags that help protect you and your passengers.

Seven stability-enhancing systems. Electronic Stability Control

(ESC) can help the Golf maintain control by applying corrective
forces at each wheel in unsafe conditions. It regulates and controls
in the event that you cant.

Forward Collision Warning. Active assistance is best demonstrated

by the available Forward Collision Warning system that uses radarbased sensors to detect the distance of vehicles in front of you. If
an impending collision is detected, the system sends out a warning
