Backrest Adjustment
To adjust the backrest angle use the
push buttons mounted to the right
side of the seat frame.
Both pushbuttons must be pressed at the
same time.
1. To angle the backrest forwards, lean
forwards in the seat so the backrest is free
to move. Press and hold both buttons, the
backrest will automatically hinge forwards.
2. To angle the backrest rearwards, press
and hold both buttons and lean backwards
against the backrest. When the required
position is achieved, release both
pushbuttons.

3.
Footrest Adjustment
To adjust the footrest up and down,
use the push button mounted to the
left side of the seat frame. (If there
are two buttons on the left side of the seat
frame, use the button nearest the footrest.
See 1)
1. To move the footrest down, press and
hold the pushbutton and apply weight to the
footrest. This will cause the footrest to move
downwards.
2. To move the footrest up, press and hold
the pushbutton and reduce weight resting on
the footrest. This will cause the footrest to
move rise. When the footrest has the correct
height, release the pushbutton.

4.
Footplate Adjustment
The footplate supplied with your
chair can be hinged upwards to
reduce the size of the chair
when being moved, or when not
in use. (Hinging up the footplate
reduces the turning radius of the chair
when rotated on the column and
reduces the length of the chair when
being moved on a deck rail)
1. To hinge the footplate up, lift under
the front of the footplate and hinge the
footplate upwards until it rest against
the fixed footrest.
2. To hinge the footplate down, pull the
top of the footplate forwards and
down. When the footplate is horizontal
it is safe for use.
3. The footplate can be hinged even
when the footrest is in the upper
position. (see page 4 and Fig 3)

Fig 2.
5.
Armrest Adjustment
To adjust the armrests up and
down, use the knob mounted
under either armrest. (If there
is not a knob under either armrest
your chair is not equipped with
height adjustable armrest. See
page 11 for help with your
armrests)

6.
Armrest Rotation.
The armrests supplied with your
chair can be rotated rearwards to
help with entry and exit from the
chair and improve access to
equipment outside the chair.
(When an armrest is rotated rearwards
they protrude behind the chair. Check
that they do not damage other
equipment when the chair is rotated, or
raised and lowered, and that movement
of the chair is not restricted)
1. To rotate an armrest backwards, lift
under the front of the armrest and hinge
the armrest rearwards. (Fig 3)
2. To rotate an armrest forwards, hold
the top of the near the front and pull the
armrest forwards and downwards. (Fig 2)
Fig 3.
Fig 2.
7.
Chair Rotation
The chair can be rotated on
its column 170 degrees either
side of the straight ahead
position. The chair can rotate
freely or be lock in any
position. (H)
1. The lever for locking or unlocking
chair rotation is under the left side
of the chair frame. (Fig 1)
2. To allow the chair to rotate
freely, push the lever forwards.
(Fig 2).
3. To lock the chair rotation in any
position, push the lever backwards
(Fig 3)
Fig 1.
Fig 3.
Fig 2.
8.
Height Adjustment
The chair can be raised or
lowered by using its
telescopic column. (Hinging up
the footrest reduces the turning
radius of the chair when rotated on
the column and reduces the length
of the chair when being moved on
a deck rail)
1.To lower the chair, remain seated
in the chair, and push and hold the
rearmost pushbutton on the left side
of the seat frame until the desired
seat height is reached
2. To raise the chair, get out of the
chair, and stand so that you can
reach the rear most pushbutton on
the left side of the chair frame (Fig
3). Press and hold the pushbutton
and allow the chair to rise up.
Fig 1.
Fig 3.
Fig 2.
9.
Deckrail Adjustment
The chair can be locked in
position on a deck rail, or
allowed to slide freely.
(Allowing the chair to slide freely
can be dangerous, care must be
taken that the chair does not move
unexpectedly due to movement of
the ship etc)
1. The lever for locking/unlocking
the chair is under the seat frame on
the right side. (Fig 1)
2. To lock the chair in position on
the deck rail push the lever to the
rear. The locking mechanism will
lock into the nearest position on the
deckrail. (Fig 2)
3. To let the chair run free on the
deckrail, push the lever forwards
until it locks. (Fig 3)
4. To move the chair on the
deckrail, stand in front or behind
the chair with the brake lever in
free. Push the chair at the height
of the armrests until the chair is in
the desired position.

Deckrail Brake
Some of the control systems on the chair may need adjusting after installation.
The deckrail brake handle is mounted under the right side of seat frame.
Deckrail brake cable is mounted under the seat cushion on the right side of the chair.
To adjust the Deckrail brake, first remove the seat cushion, then follow the procedures to the right.

The chair swing lock handle is mounted under the left side
of the seat frame. When the lever is pushed fully backwards
the chair swing should lock, when the lever is pushed fully
forwards the chair should swing easily.
To adjust the chair swing mechanism, remove the seat
cushion.
