Why walk?

So many workouts, so many excuses. Running? Cramps in your side. Swimming? Hate getting wet.
Pilates? Expensive. Spin class? A headache. Walking? Um... Finally, an exercise truly devoid of
downsides. It may not be flashy or cool, but according to growing scientific evidence, walking, done
often and properly, can deliver an array of benefits that are just as impressive as those often gained
from sportier regimens.
You might call walking Americas untrendiest growing trend. Between 2005 and 2010, the number of
adults who walked for 10 minutes or more at least once a week rose from 56 to 62 percentan increase
of almost 20 million peopleas reported by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
An influx of pedestrian-friendly communities around the country has something to do with it. In the past
decade, many cities, including New York, Chicago, and Boston, have transformed busy traffic routes into
pedestrian-friendly pathways.

Chinatown how chinese live in the worlds cities

Chinatowns in major cities around the world belong to the most famous ethnic districts. They are
not only home to a growing number of Chinese people but also have their own special traditions
and way of life. Millions of Chinese left their home country in the past to go and to live abroad.
Most of them have gone to other countries out of economic reasons. In past centuries Chinese
abroad were treated badly and seen as cheap workers. They had jobs in farming, as cooks on
ships or as harbour workers. In the US, thousands of Chinese helped to build the railroads that
today span the continent. In previous times the United States and other countries limited the
number of Chinese who could enter the country. As a result Chinatowns exist in cities in all
continents. When the Chinese arrived in foreign cities they often lived in the same
neighbourhood, where they followed their own traditions and spoke their own language. Many
Chinese have become successful businessmen.

white fur. Pandas belong to the mostendangered species of our world. About 2000 pandas live in
the wilderness, 300 live in various zoos around the world. Recently, there have
been campaigns in many countries to save the giant panda. It has been driven away from its

The milky way our galaxy

The Milky Way is a large band of stars, dust and gas that make up our galaxy. It
contains billions of stars. Our sun and the solar system is only one of them. The Milky Way is
only one of billions of galaxies that make up our universe. It has a diameter of about
100,000 light years and is as old as the universe itself. The name probably refers to how we see
our galaxy - a white blurry band that looks like spilled milk. The Milky Way has the shape of a
thin disk with six spiral arms coming out of a bulge in the center . This bulge consists of
a cluster of large stars, gas and dust as well as a strong magnetic field. The whole
galaxy rotates around this inner bar of stars. New stars are constantly formed around the spiral
arms. Most of the stars in our galaxy are red dwarfs, cold stars that are much smaller than our
sun.
