ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


1. Develop and execute goals and strategic direction of the Engineering PMO.
2. Accountable for following all policies and procedures and mentoring other project managers on policies and
procedures.
3. Manage projects through entire lifecycle including concept, design, production, support and sustainment
processes.
4. Manage all forms of applicable project requirements.
5. Accountable for all schedules, quality, and customer satisfaction on project.
6. Develop and implement corrective action plans when deviations from budgets and/or schedules are evident.
7. Assign and manage internal, external, multi-divisional, direct and matrixed resources to ensure all project
objectives and goals are met.
8. Develop, prepare and present briefings to both executive management and stakeholders related to project
status.
9. Formally identify, assess, monitor and mitigate risk throughout program life cycle.
10. Provide senior leadership and manage the direction of cross-functional team. Ensure communication and
cooperation among team members and resolve areas of conflict.
11. Other duties as assigned.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors degree in business, finance, IT, project management or other related field
6 plus years of relevant experience
PMP certification
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Masters degree
Lean and Six Sigma experience
Familiar with CMMI
Working knowledge of Primavera P6 with at least 1 year of experience
DAU Certification
Independent judgment and decision making ability
Strong verbal, presentation and written communication skills
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Ability to influence and lead others
Working knowledge of defense government contracts
Working knowledge of Defense Acquisitions process, decision milestones and funding procedures
Experience with international compliance regulations to include International Traffic Arms Regulations
(ITARS), Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and Anti-Boycott Regulations and Laws
Experience mentoring and developing new project managers
Experience creating, deploying and maintaining project management processes
