I do fully recommend Fadilat to the new university student enrolment in MIT. He is our best student.
At school, he likes Physics and Mathematics. According to his Physicss teacher every time the
teacher is in the class and teaching the lesson, he is always to be the proactive student, especially, he
is always being the center of attention by other students because his skills in responding and giving
arguments to the Physicss teacher about the basic concept of Physics, Thermo dynamics, Dynamics
and Kinematical, Movement and Waves and also Modern Physics. He is studying all the concepts by
himself and his speed of learning is always above his other friends. One time, it is the test time as well
as daily, mid-semester, final semester test, he gets the excellent scores and sometimes he gets 100,
even the final highest scores in the book report are 90. Doing the experiment in the laboratory, he is
very skilful in doing this activity and also giving good presentation. Thus, his friends like him very
much because of his intelligence and diligent in studying both in the class and laboratory.
Fadilat likes or gives most interest to the Automotive Engineering presented in Mechanical
Engineering. As far as I know, once he was a member of Shell Eco Marathon, economiser car design
team with the university students of Institute Technology of Bandung, he is the only Senior High
Student at that time joining the university student group. His position in the group is as the designer,
Machine Planning and Characteristic Engine Performance Optimizing. His duty as the designer, he
has very technical and scientific work order that is from the Problem definition, Synthesis, ideation
and invention stages, next, going to analysis and optimizing, then the detailed design. In detailed
design, it is resulted the complete technical image, material specification, vendor identification,
manufacturing specification. And at last, it is the evaluation involving the prototype producing and
machinery testing which will be used as the car driving force. For these duties, he is given most
attention by the project advisor lecturer. Fadilat is such a very talented student in his age. During 6
months, he is doing gasoline machine design project with 800 CC capacity. To make him more skilful
in doing this project, he joins 10 Automobile engineering training programs consisting of Engineering
team management, Engine Fuel System, Engine Lubrication System, Engine Over haul and
Maintenance, Engine assembly and testing, Engine Design and Analysis Technical Paper Report,
CAD/CAM, Tool & Equipment, Assembly and Installation of Diesel and Gasoline Machine,
Accessories and the functions and also some machine Element, Piston Fuel Motor and Design
Engineering. For 6 months, he and his other university partners are doing the project to make the car
machine and finally can achieve the successful in fuel consumption saving reached in 1 litter for 96
Kilometres; and the car can run in small, medium or high load, while the exhaust gas emission is very
low. That the story Fadilat tells to me, finally the car is joined the fuel economiser racing International
competition in Serpang circuit in Malaysia. The result is the Institute of Technology Bandungs team
gets the first champion for the specification and performance ability achievement. According to
Fadilat, he is very happy because he can take part to the activity although formally he is just a senior
high school student.

His personality is very significance for his teachers, family and friends. He is such a polite and hard
worker student. He likes studying and sharing togetherness with his friends in performing art,
entertainment, holiday activity and also likes to mingle with other friends outside the school. For this
attitude and habits in his daily life, he has many friends. I am very sure that he can give his skills
which are above the average in various aspects, I sincerely hope that you will be able to offer him a
place in University of California Berkeley's freshman class.
