Project Purpose and Need

Improve safety
The design and deteriorating condition of transportation
infrastructure in the corridor created the need for
improvements.
Improve multimodal mobility
Critical roadway connections are missing and facilities for
both pedestrians and bicyclists are lacking.
Improve accessibility
Grade separations, ramp, and intersection configurations
limit access to activity centers.
Support ongoing economic development
Ongoing and planned development in the area will add thousands of jobs
and create new residential neighborhoods, creating the need for
transportation improvements.
