Project 1: Informational Poster

- Using Destiny Quest, look for 2 to 3 good websites to use for researching answers to the following questions:
1. Give 5 benefits of the rainforest and why they should be protected.
2. Give 5 ways you can do to help save the rainforest and be environmentally responsible.
- Use MS Word or Pages to type in your answers.
- Include pictures to decorate when youre finish with the research.
- Remember to use your own words when answering the questions.
- Remember to cite your source using MLA citation.

Project 2: Drawing Poster

Open up Paintbrush set the page size to 800 x 600 pixels
Create a poster that will inform and encourage people to help save the rainforest. It should show ways you can do
to help save the rainforest and be environmentally responsible.

The Rainforest Informational Poster Rubric

Projects will be evaluated in each of the following categories:
1. Content: Does the project include all required information?
Information provided is comprehensive.
Everything you need to know about the topic was included such as:
- 5 benefits of the rainforest and why they should be protected. (10points)
- 5 ways you can do to help save the rainforest and be environmentally responsible (10points)

Conventions/ Citation (5points)

a. Sources for information and images referenced in the project
b. Is information in the student's own words?
c. Are the sources properly quoted in MLA format?
d. Does it have any spelling or grammar mistakes?

2. Overall Layout and Organization: Is it visually neat and appealing?

Use of Fonts & Colors (5points)
a. Appropriate and consistent color and font theme (face, size, style) throughout the
page.
