CHEERS AND YELLS COMPETITION

MECHANICS
1. Each team should be composed of a minimum of fifteen (15) and a maximum of twenty (20) members.
2. Each team is given three (3) minutes to perform their cheers and yells.
3. Cheers and yells must always promote the team they represent.
4. Loudness and clearness of the words is encouraged.
5. Profanity and other inappropriate language are strictly prohibited.
PENALTIES AND POINT DEDUCTION
1. Failure to follow mechanics #1 and #2 is subject to disqualification.
2. An excess of one (1) minute on allotted number of participants is subject to a 2-point deduction on the final
score.
3. An excess of one (1) minute on allotted time of performance is subject to a 2-point deduction per minute on the
final score.
TECHNICAL RULES
1. Three (3) judges will score the whole performance.
2. The decision of the judges is final and irrevocable.

BEST BOOTH DISPLAY COMPETITION

MECHANICS
1. All participants of the competition must have their display set up for the celebration.
2. Booth staff must all wear a name tag or any other ID representing the name of their team so they can be clearly
identified.
3. The name of the teams must be visible in the booth.
4. All decorations must remain within the booth perimeter.
5. Competitors must stick to the theme of the event.
6. The winner will be chosen according to the competition rules and guidelines.
7. The judges will be comprised of a 3 member panel and the decision is final and irrevocable.
CRITERIA
Creativity, imagination & originality 15 pts.
Relevance to the theme . 10 pts.
Most Visited Booth .. 10 pts.
Overall neatness and presentation . 10 pts.
Use of color (coordination) .. 5 pts.

COMICAL SKIT COMPETITION

MECHANICS
1. The contest will only cater the minimum of 15 and maximum of 20 members on each participating teams.
2. The comical skit must be delivered in a humorous way in not more than 10 minutes to perform including their
preparations.
3. The contestants may use English, Filipino or Cebuano as a medium in the delivery of their comical skits.
4. The contestants are PROHIBITED from using vulgar words, acts, expressions and the like, within their
presentation.
5. The contestants must be in the contest venue 30 minutes before the start of the contest. Failure to do so will mean
automatic disqualification.
6. Judges decision is final and irrevocable.

MODERN DANCE COMPETITION

MECHANICS
1. Each group will perform a dance number with a time limit of 4 minutes. Beyond this limit, a total of 2 points will
be deducted from the groups total score.
2. Each group will have a minimum of eight (8) and a maximum ten (10) members.
3. The members of the groups maybe composed of all males or females, or any combination thereof.
4. The dance number must have an accompaniment of any music, which is modern and lively.
5. Folk dances or accompaniment of folk music is not allowed.
6. The use of pyrotechnic gadgets, a smoke or combustible material as props is not allowed.

7. Contestants must provide their accompaniment in a CD/DVD copy. No USB or IPod shall be allowed.
8. Judges decision is final and irrevocable.

1. This contest will only be open to women from the respective participating teams.

3. The song for the PRODUCTION is pre-determined by the committee concerned. The song will be Listen by

4. Contestants must provide their accompaniment in a CD/DVD copy. No USB or IPod shall be allowed.

MECHANICS
1. The song for the PRODUCTION is pre-determined by the committee concerned. The song will be Mahal Ko o
Mahal Ako by KZ Tandingan.
2. Only students that belong to the department and to the respective teams are allowed to participate and appear on
the video.

3. Each music video should not be more than 3 minutes. The credits of the video concerning its creative staff shall
not be included in the presentation.
4. Keep in mind that the video should be a parody and should be comedic.

INTERPRETATIVE SONG/DANCE
MECHANICS
1. The song for the PRODUCTION is pre-determined by the committee concerned. The song will be Ikaw by
Yeng Constantino.
2. The teams are encouraged to have it performed through a vocal solo or through a vocal duet. It is at the discretion
of the participants.
3. While the song is performed, there should be 2 dancers that will interpret the musical piece.
4. Narration is strictly not allowed. This competition is designed for each entry to tell a story revolving around the
message of the song through dancing.
5. The performance shall not exceed five (5) minutes; this includes the actual performance, entrance and exit of
dancers, setting up of props (if any) and the like.
6. Costume or attire and use of props are at the discretion of the participants.
7. The judges will be comprised of a 3 member panel and the decision is final and irrevocable.
