IMPROVEMENT SINCE LAST REPORT?

INDEPENDENT LEARNING
Rory should continue to use his initiative and work independently, more frequently, in all
lessons. He should aim to challenge himself in order to progress further both within
lessons and outside of school. He should not be prepared to settle for completing
the minimum amount of work instead pushing himself to complete work to a high
standard allowing him to access his full potential. The skill to work independently

becomes increasingly important as we approach Y11 especially when revising for

GCSE exams and completing coursework.

BAD
PROGRESS
Lewis is a pleasant and enthusiastic student, who in general, appears to be making satisfactory to good
progress across the board in his subjects. However, I am concerned there are some subjects that have
raised unsatisfactory issues with regards to Lewis's attitude, effort and behaviour, which can holding
him back from reaching his attainment potential and also become a barrier to others reaching their
targets.
With regards to the key subjects Lewis is making good progress in Maths and English when he puts
his full efforts on the task in hand instead of acting the class clown, which I have witnessed myself on
occasions during tutor time. If he continues to do what is asked of him in Science and with addition
support from home, he will be back on track to attaining his targets.
With regards to the key subjects Charlotte is making good progress in Maths, English and Science and
if she continues to do what is asked of her, stays on task for longer and is not distracted by or distracts
others in the group and with addition support from home, she will be well on track to attaining her
targets.
TARGETS
Make sure both Lewis and parents are aware of his attainment targets for individual subjects (these
will be on this report) and ask, if not sure, what needs to be done to reach these targets.
Improve and maintain a mature and positive attitude, and work rate in all subjects especially Science.
Attempt to stay on task for longer and refrain from disrupting yourself and others in the class. I will
put Lewis on subject report to monitor this target.
Make sure all homework is written in the planner and sign off when it has been completed. I would
massively appreciate parents support with this, possibly parents asking to see a piece of homework
when signing planners at the weekend?
Very Good
PROGRESS

Emma, in general, appears to be making pleasing progress across the board in her subjects and is on
the right track to reach her attainment potential.
With regards to the key subjects Emma is making excellent progress in Maths, English and Science
and if she continues to do what is asked of her and with addition support from home, she will attain
solid grades in these subjects.
Very Bad
PROGRESS
Shannie in general appears to be making unsatisfactory to in places satisfactory progress across the
board in her subjects. However, I am deeply concerned there are some subjects that have raised
unsatisfactory issues with regards to Shannie's attitude, effort and mainly attendance, which are
holding him back from reaching her attainment potential. There also seems to be an issue regarding
punctuality when Shannie is in school. On several occasions staff have seen Shannie before the lesson
with certain individuals and then she reappears some time into the lesson or not at all.
With regards to the key subjects Shannie is making satisfactory progress in Science and English when
he puts his full efforts on the task in hand instead being distracted by non school related issues.
However, there seems to be issues with Shannie and Maths where she is working to an unsatisfactory
level.
Make sure both Shannie and parents are aware of his attainment targets for individual subjects and
ask, if not sure, what needs to done to reach these targets.
Improve attitude and work rate in all subjects especially Maths, stay on task and reframe from being
disrupted and leave non school issues outside the classroom. I will put Shannie on subject report to
monitor this target.
Make sure all homework is written in the planner and sign off when it has been completed. I would
massively appreciate parents support with this, possibly parents asking to see a piece of homework
when signing planners at the weekend?
EXCELLENT
Josh, in general, appears to be making excellent progress across the board in his subjects and is on the
right track to reach her attainment potential.
With regards to the key subjects Josh is making excellent progress in Maths, and good progress in
English and Science. If he continues to do what is asked of him and with addition support from home,
he will attain solid grades in these subjects.
Make sure both Josh and parents are aware of his attainment targets for individual subjects and ask, if
not sure, what needs to done to reach these targets.
Continue with the positive attitude and work rate in all subjects and ask your teachers what you need
to do to excel your achieve attainment target.
Make sure all homework is written in the planner and sign off when it has been completed. I would
massively appreciate parents support with this, possibly parents asking to see a piece of homework
when signing planners at the weekend?

Average Attendance issues

Beth in general appears to be making satisfactory to pleasing progress across

the board in her subjects, although her attendance has held her back from
reaching her full attainment potential. If Beth is absent from school she needs to
attempt to speak with subject teachers and catch up on work missed. With
regards to the key subjects Beth is making good progress in Maths, English and
Science and if she continues to do what is asked of her and with addition support
from home, she will be well on track to attaining her targets.

CRUSING
With regards to the key subjects Liam is making good progress in Maths,
English and Science although it seems at times he is happy to cruise and
only give the minimum amount of effort required to complete a task to a
satisfactory standard. If he continues to do what is asked of him, increases
his effort and workrate and with addition support from home, he will
attain solid grades in these subjects.
