Waterproofing Liquid Admixture

Description
Sika-1 Waterproofer is an aqueous solution containing
complex colloidal silicates. In the presence of water these
swell and block the capillaries and pores in the applied
sand/cement renders, screeds and mortar to provide an
effective barrier against the transmission of liquid water.
n Structural screeds to resist water pressure below

ground when used in conjunction with Sika-1
pre-batched mortars.
n Waterproof renders to resist moisture above ground.
n Internal waterproof tanking.
n General waterproofing admixture for mortar.

Structural waterproofing below ground: render and floor

screed system - Sika-1 Waterproofer liquid is diluted
(1:10 by volume) with clean water and mixed with the
appropriate Sika prebatched mortar (see page 14) by
volume to produce wall render and floor screed mixes.
Nominal thicknesses:- Wall render; 20 mm (3 coats), 26
mm (4 coats) Floor screed; 30 mm (3 coats). Refer to Sika
Installation guides and data sheets before proceeding.
General Waterproofing Admixture - the addition of Sika-1
Waterproofer to all types of mortar will increase the
resistance to water damage due to frost and efflorescence.
Dilution: 1:10 with the gauging water. Do not penetrate
Sika-1 renders or screeds with fixings. For full details,
limitations etc. refer to data sheet, product label or contact
Sika Limited.

Water Plug
Description
Sika-2 Water Plug is a ready to use very rapid setting
leak stopping liquid which is mixed with ordinary portland
cement to produce a paste for immediate leak sealing
against high water pressure infiltration.
n To seal severe water leaks in concrete in basements,

tunnels, cellars, pits, vaults, subways, pools etc.
n Allows Sika-1 waterproof renders, gunite or shotcrete
to be applied on structures with running surface water.

water and Sika-2 temperatures and supplier/age of

Rapid Hardener
Description
Sika-3 Rapid Hardener is a ready-to-use, multi-purpose,
waterproof mortar/antifreeze liquid which is mixed with
water, ordinary portland cement, sands and aggregates to
produce a waterproof mortar, screed, render or concrete.
n Sealing leaks in brickwork joints, stone etc. subject to

low pressure and small water infiltration.
n Protect cement mixes from freezing.
n Suitable for sub-zero temperatures. (Refer to working
practice of mortars in accordance with BS 5628 pt 3)
n Rapid hardener for cement mortars and concretes with
no embedded steel.

n Reduced working time. Faster construction.
n Earlier finishing. Ready to use.
n Well proven.
Waterproofing of mortar joints: Rake out mortar, clean with

water to remove all debris. Apply a Sika-3 cement paste
to partially fill joint. Once set, apply a final waterproofing
mortar mix to fill the remainder of the joint. See data sheet
for dilution, dosage and sand addition.
Cold weather working mortar: Mix ratio - 3.5 litres Sika-3
Rapid Hardener:25 kg cement:100 kg sand plus water as
required. Setting times will be affected by ambient, water
and Sika-3 Rapid Hardener temperatures, supplier and
age of ordinary portland cement. Trials varying dosage,
temperature etc. recommended. Sika-3 contains calcium
chloride - do not use where steel reinforcement is present.

Renders: Prepare surfaces by removing all loose material,

dirt, moss, contaminants and mechanically roughen to
provide a key. Dilute Sika-4 Rapid Setting with clean
water according to setting speed required for the
application and water pressure/movement. Trials are
recommended.
Concrete: The concreting installation should be arranged to
suit rapid placing. The concrete mix should contain a
minimum of 400kg cement per cubic metre. For details,

leakage to discharge points formed of short lengths of
plastic tube bonded into drilled holes using Sika-4a
Waterstop paste and gradually seal off water working
towards the discharge points. Use neat or dilute Sika-4a
with clean water to meet the severity or pressure of the
leak. Maximum dilution 1:4 Sika-4a:water. Only mix
sufficient for immediate use. To seal the leak, mould paste
by gloved hand into a tapered plug and immediately force
into the prepared hole and hold until set. Setting time is

Description
Sika-1 Mortars are prebatched kiln dried blends of
specially graded aggregates and cements packaged in 4
grades at the appropriate mix ratios for optimum
application performance and durability. When mixed with
the diluted Sika-1 Waterproofer liquid they provide the
multi-coat components for the structural waterproofing and
waterproof render systems.

Before carrying out works, consult installation guide and data

Structural waterproofing below ground: Sika-1 Waterproofer
is diluted 1:10 by volume with clean water. This gauging liquid
is then mixed with the Sika-1 Mortars to produce wall,
render and floor screed mixes. Dosage: Spritz/bonding layer 5.7 litres/25 kg; Render and Finishing layers -3.3 litres/25 kg;
Screed -2.5 litres/25 kg. Each mixed bag yields approximately
12.5 litres of mortar and covers 2m2 at 6mm thickness.
Nominal thickness:- Floor screed; 30 mm (3 coats), Wall
render; 20 mm (3 coats), 26 mm (4 coats).
Waterproof render to resist moisture and dampness above
ground level apply 2 coats of render at a nominal thickness
6.0 mm each. Do not penetrate Sika-1 render or screed with
fixings. The Sika-1 Waterproofing system must be cured
correctly. Refer to data sheets and packaging for details,
limitations etc.

Sikadur-Combiflex SG
High Performance Joint and Crack
Sealing System
Description
The Sikadur-Combiflex SG Jointing System consists of
a Sika Hypalon Strip and Sikadur-31 Rapid epoxy
resin adhesive. Combiflex SG Hypalon Sheet is a highly
elastic, rot-proof and chemically resistant sealing sheet in
thicknesses of 1mm and 2mm. Sikadur-31 Rapid
adhesive is epoxy resin based and provides a strong bond
to the substrate.

All surfaces must be mechanically cleaned, sound and free

from oil, dust, laitance, rust and any contamination. Concrete
must be over 3 weeks old. Activate Sikadur-Combiflex SG
strip on both sides with Thinner C using a clean cloth. Dry for
1-8 hours. Apply masking tape both sides of the joint to
provide a neat edge and over the middle of the new or existing
joint. Apply mixed Sikadur-31 Rapid (see page 68) to both
sides of the joint at a layer thickness of 1-2 mm and width of
50-60 mm on each side. Remove masking tape from the
middle of joint. Position activated Sikadur-Combiflex SG
strip (red tape upwards) and roll to remove entrapped air.
Apply Sikadur-31 adhesive on top of the strip. Remove
masking tapes from the joint sides and the red middle tape
from the Sikadur-Combiflex SG strip. Smooth Sikadur-31
Rapid with brush. Sikadur-Combiflex SG overlap
connections should be a minimum of 30-50mm and bonded

Description
Sika Damp-proofing Slurry is a ready to use (just add
water), high quality, thin layer waterproof slurry coating,
based on special cements and admixtures to provide a
water and damp proof finish.

For preventing dampness and water penetration in:
n Basements, cellars, pits and pools.
n Foundations.
n Half buried walls.
n Concrete gutters.
n Stone, brick, clay or concrete planters.

Remove any loose material back to a sound and solid

substrate. Clean surfaces by removing all traces of dust, dirt,
previous coatings and other contamination. Wash with a
water jet to clean and dampen the surface (always apply the
slurry to a damp, but not wet surface). Fill joints in brick and
blockwork with a semi-stiff paste of Sika Damp-proofing
Slurry. Add water to the dry Sika Damp-proofing Slurry
and mix until an even consistency is obtained. For coating,
1kg of mortar requires about 0.25 litres of water. Apply using
a stiff bristle brush [Artex type] in 2 coats, 3 where severe
conditions exist. Brush direction should be changed between
coats. Subsequent layers can be applied after 4 hours at
+20C. For details, limitations etc. refer to data sheet or
contact Sika Limited.
Approximate Consumption: 6.5 - 7m2 @ 2mm thickness per
25kg. (Minimum 2.1kg/m2 per coat).

Description
SikaMur-InjectoCream is a water repellent cream. It is
inserted into a series of holes drilled into a mortar
course of the masonry by means of a simple application
gun.

For treatment to be effective, the correct volume of

SikaMur-InjectoCream must be used. The system
requires 12 mm diameter holes to be drilled at horizontal
centers no greater than 120 mm apart. Insert the delivery
tube of SikaMur-InjectoCream application gun into the
full depth of the pre-drilled hole. Squeeze the gun trigger
and back fill each hole fully with SikaMur-InjectoCream
to within 1 cm of the surface. The depth of the hole and
consumption varies with wall thickness. A 220mm thick
wall will require 3 x 600ml sausages for a wall length of

Description
Sika ViscoBond is a revolutionary new admixture for
mortar and concrete. It is a concentrated liquid polymer
designed for superior use as a primer, hardener, plasticiser,
waterproofer and bonding agent with cement based

Substrate must be clean and sound - dampen with clean

water. For mortars/renders/screeds: Mix 3 parts clean water
to 1 part Sika ViscoBond. Use the Sika ViscoBond
gauging liquid in the required sand/cement mix, as normal.
Mix to achieve the required consistency. Typical application:
Add 10-12% Sika ViscoBond by weight of cement is
recommended.
Pre-testing of Sika ViscoBond mix is recommended.

Description
A general purpose, economic liquid plasticiser and improver
for brick and blockwork mortars.
SikaMix Plus is a liquid plasticising and air entraining

admixture for improving workability and final properties of:

Application
The normal water quantity should be reduced by at least
the same amount of SikaMix Plus used. Dosage rates to
achieve the desired workability will depend on the class of
mortar, temperature, sand quality and cement type.
Typically 125 - 250 ml per kg cement added to mix or
gauging water. SikaMix Plus should be mixed into the
water before adding to sand and cement. SikaMix Plus
can be used with other admixtures but should be added
separately. If mixing by hand, use a method that will ensure
thorough mixing. Use immediately. Protect all mortars from
premature drying in accordance with good site practice. For

Approximate Consumption: 25-250ml per 50kg cement.
1 litre SikaMix Plus added to 200 litre gauging water will

Ensure the substrate is sound, clean and free of dirt, dust and

Sika Rendermix mortar. Always work wet on wet. Pre-mix
Sika Rendermix with clean water at the appropriate dosage
rate for the application. Dosage rates to achieve the desired
workability will depend on the class of mortar, ambient
temperature, sand quality and cement type. Add to the premixed sand and cement. If mixing by hand, use a method that
will ensure thorough mixing. Where multi layers of mortar are
to be applied ensure previous layer is thoroughly scratched to
assist the bond. All subsequent layers should be no thicker

Application
Pre-mix the proportions of sand and cement. Add Sika

appear to be darker than when cured. Always check colour
match required against dry Sika Tone mortars.

General Bonding: Absorbent Surfaces like concrete or

while first coat tacky. Non-Absorbent Surfaces like paints or
tiles: Prime surface with 1 pt PVA+ to 3 to 6 pts water and

Patching Mortars/Screeds: Apply while bonding coat is still
tacky. If dry re-apply. For bonding new screeds to old, prime
surface with 1 pt PVA+ to 5 pts water. Bond new material

areas in line with good site practice. Recommended for

Description
SikaBond SBR+ is a one component, water based,
general purpose, styrene butadiene rubber emulsion. When
diluted with water it produces a gauging solution for
improving adhesion, workability and waterproofing of
mortars and cementitious mixes.

brush. Subsequent mortar mixes should be applied while
bonding coat still tacky. As a Mortar Admixture: First premix cement and sand (normally 1 pt OPC to 3.5 pts sand).
Add SBR+ at 5 to 7 litres per 25kg of OPC depending on
application. Mix for 1-3 mins. then slowly add water to
achieve required consistency. Cure all finished areas in line
with good site practice. Pot life approx. 30 mins. Calculate

Approximate Consumption:
5-7 ltrs per 25kg cement. 1.2 ltrs SBR+ with 6 pts OPC to

Application
Surfaces must be wire brush cleaned, sound and free from
dust and contamination and pre-wetted. De-compact the
Sika Mix&Go powder by shaking the bag and add 0.25
litre of water into the bag. Press to remove excess air and
then close tightly. Mix the bag between the hands for 2 to 3
minutes, shaking the bag from time to time until a
homogeneous mortar consistency is achieved. Open or cut
the bag at the marked level - and the mortar is ready to be
applied. Place the Sika Mix&Go repair mortar with the
spatula supplied or a trowel, pressing it well into the
pre-wetted prepared substrate. Finish using a
wooden/plastic float or damp sponge. Yield: 0.7 litres
approx. Protect repairs from drying, wind, heavy rain and

Apply the grout to sound, clean and dust free surfaces.
Concrete should be roughened to provide a good key. For
repairs, breakout back to sound concrete and behind any
exposed reinforcement. Square cut edges to at least 10 mm
depth and roughen saw cuts to provide a key. Prime
reinforcement (contact Sika for details). The area must be
tightly shuttered and a header box used so that a grout head
of 150 to 200 mm can be maintained. Thoroughly soak the
prepared substrate with clean water until saturated. Leave
no standing water. Mechanically mix SikaGrout-212 with
clean water for at least 2 minutes until uniform, using a
forced action mixer or slow speed stirrer . Water addition: 2.3
litres - 3.9 litres per 25 kg depending on fluidity required.
Place as one continuous pour and ensure air is displaced by
grout. Maintain the head to keep the grout moving, using
steel rods/chains to assist if required. After initially
hardening, strip shuttering and cure for >7 days in line with
good practice. Yield: 12 litres per 25kg. For full details,

Description
Sikadur Epoxy Repair Kit is a quick setting, two part
epoxy mortar which can effect overnight repairs to
concrete. Suitable for internal and external use. Mainly
intended for horizontal surfaces.

Strengths in excess of 28 day old concrete can be
gained within 24 hours (depending on temperature).
Application
The substrate must be of sound quality and of adequate
strength. Concrete substrates must be free from dirt,
grease, oil, fats, or any other contaminant. To ensure a
sound surface, all laitance should be removed by
mechanical preparation or grit blasting. New concrete
should be at least 28 days old. Very smooth substrates
must be prepared mechanically. For metal, all rust, oil and
grease etc. must be removed. Once mixed, Sikadur Epoxy
Repair Kit can be trowelled directly onto the surface
without the need for priming. On porous substrates, priming
may be required. Apply Sikadur Epoxy Repair Kit and
compact into place. Trowel may be moistened with a
solvent based wipe (do not use white spirit) to achieve a
smooth finish and to stop material sticking to trowel. Do not
overwet with solvent. Use all mixed material within the pot
life period. Pot life is 45 minutes @20OC. Cure time varies
with temperature and thickness of application. Low
temperatures can extend cure considerably. 10OC and
above, cure is substantially complete overnight, but full
chemical resistance is not obtained until after 7 days. For

to the required layer thickness (max 60mm). Leave to reach
initial set and any heat to dissipate before application of
next layer. Smooth off final layer with a clean steel trowel.
Pot life @ 20C Normal: 60 mins; Rapid: 40 mins. Apply
Normal +10C to +30C, Rapid +5C to +20C. Ensure good

2 minutes using a slow speed (300 rpm) mixer and paddle
until uniform. Add component C (filler) slowly and mix until
homogeneous. Leave to stand until the most air bubbles
have dispersed. Pour Sikadur-42HE into opening or hopper
and maintain approx. 150 - 200 mm head to maintain flow.
Ensure air is displaced, make breather holes if necessary.
Use steel rods/chains to assist the flow if required. Yield: 6
litres per 12 kg. Pot life: 30 mins @ 20C: 60 mins @ 10C.

steel. Concrete must be over 28 days old. Open cartridge,
attach nozzle and apply as a bead, spot etc to the required
thickness (1mm min.-10mm max.). Press parts together
and clamp/leave until set. Smooth off exposed Sikadur33 with a clean steel trowel. Avoid feather edges and
where necessary edge cut to 2.0 mm depth around repair

The final strength of the anchor depends on the hole size,
anchor depth, moisture level and cleanliness. Hammer

pump 2-4 times until uniformly mixed grey resin is
extruded. Fill the anchor hole from the base upwards and
insert the fixing with a twisting movement before the resin
starts to gel. Do not apply initial load until cure time is

Prepare joint surfaces by cleaning and removing dust, dirt,

loosely adhering materials, oils and grease. All surfaces
must be dry. Prime wooden substrates with a suitable
wood primer. Place Sika Trowel Mastic into the prepared
areas by trowel or pointing tool. Ensure that Sika Trowel
Mastic is firmly compacted and point smooth as soon as
possible. Allow a minimum of 48 hours for Sika Trowel

Screw the nozzle onto the can and shake thoroughly before
use. Foam can only be applied with the valve upside down.
Spray beads onto the insulation board or directly onto the
substrate. Press the plasterboard or insulation board against
the substrate approximately 4 - 6 minutes after applying
SikaBond FoamFix+. Curing time of the rapid fixing foam
depends on temperature and humidity conditions. It is
therefore recommended to test the specific curing time
before the application. Remove fresh spots of foam
immediately using SikaBoom Cleaner. Cured foam can
only be removed mechanically. Filling gaps: If necessary, fill
the gaps between edges of panels using SikaBond

Description
SikaBoom-N+ is a fire retardant foam that is tested to B2
DIN 4102-1. This classification means that when you ignite
the foam with a flame for 15 seconds, the flame height will
go no higher than 15cm from the bottom. When you take
the flame away, the foam itself is self extinguishing.

Sub floors must be smooth, permanently dry, compact,

SikaBond 5500S diluted 1:1 with Thinner EG. Always
prime heated sub floors with SikaBond 5500 S diluted 1:1
with Thinner EG. Mix well before use. Spread the adhesive
uniformly on the sub floor with a suitable notched trowel
and apply the wood. Press firmly and evenly across the
wood surface to ensure complete contact with the
adhesive. Important - ensure you leave a 10-12 mm
expansion gap along the walls for the wood to expand.
Avoid gluing the sides of the parquet elements. Working
time: Approx. 10 minutes depending on the quantity
applied. Setting time: Final setting is at least 48 hours.
Setting time depends on room conditions and on sub floor
absorbency. Sanding and/or lacquering of the floor can
follow only after its full cure.
Working temperature: Do not use at a temperature lower
than +10C or when relative humidity of the air is higher

NOTE: Leave perimeter expansion gap of 12 15mm must be

Complete Wood Floor Bonding Kit
Description
SikaBond Application Kit is a complete kit to fit up to
20m2 of wood flooring. The kit contains: 10 x 600ml

Application
Load a 600ml sausage into the barrel of the application gun
and remove the end securing clip which keeps the
adhesive in the foil packaging. (see instructions) and
replace the black cap onto the gun with the pre-cut nozzle
installed within. When used as a liquid batten, extrude a
bead of adhesive approximately every 250mm apart at
right angles to the direction of the wood flooring. Ensure
that the V in the pre-cut nozzle is pointing away from you.
The application gun should be held a 90 degrees to the
substrate. Place the timber into the wet adhesive within 30
minutes to the correct line and level and allow to cure.
NOTE: A perimeter gap of 12 15mm should be left around
the edge of the flooring and also any penetrations into the

Concrete / cement screed must be clean, contaminant free
and thoroughly cleaned with an industrial vacuum
cleaner. Anhydrite screed must be ground and thoroughly
cleaned with industrial vacuum. Tests are recommended on
unknown substrates. Substrates must be clean, even,
homogeneous, free from grease, dust and loose particles.
Paint, cement laitance and other poorly adhering particles
must be removed. As a surface conditioner/primer apply 1
coat at a minimum consumption of 100 200 grams/m2
(85-170 ml/m2). As an isolator for old adhesive residues,
apply 1 coat at a minimum consumption of 100 200
grams/m2 (85-170 ml/m2). As a Damp Proof Membrane,
apply 2 3 coats at 100 250 grams/m2 (85-215 ml/m2).
Allow each coat to fully cure. Total consumption should be

(depends on overlay - see data sheet) and blind with 0.6 1.2 quartz sand. Mix Sikafloor Level 30 using a low
speed mixer (300-400 rpm) and paddle for 3 minutes
minimum. Dosage - 4.8-5.25 litres clean water per 25 kg.
When overlaying with a Sikafloor resin, dose at 4.8 litres
per 25 kg. Leave to stand until most air bubbles have
dispersed. Pour onto the primed surface and trowel or pin
screed rake to the required thickness. Thoroughly spike
roller to remove trowel marks and entrapped air.
Maximum thickness 25mm. Not suitable for slopes or
inclines >0.5%. Protect from moisture, sunlight and wind

All surfaces must be clean, sound and free from oil and
other contaminants. Allow 24 hrs before grouting
depending on site conditions. This may be reduced if a
rapid setting adhesive used. Add to cold clean water using
a ratio of 1 pt water to 4 pts powder (or 1 pt diluted admix:
4 pts powder), equivalent to 1.1lt water to 5kg powder. Mix
enough for max. 2hrs work. Mix until smooth, workable
consistency. Stand for 1min. Do not apply if below +5C.
Apply using rubber squeeguee or grouting trowel to work

Sika Bitumen Primer is a highly penetrative, thin

Leave to dry for 2-4 hours before continuing. Drying times

Sika Black Bitumen Paint is a waterproofing protective

Description
Sika Prufe is a dark brown rubber bitumen emulsion that
dries to form an odourless and taint free, black, flexible
coating.
Provides a highly efficient:

n Damp-proof membrane in sandwich constructions.
n Waterproofer for floors, walls and above ground
structures.
n Curing membrane when applied to green concrete.
Advantages

Surfaces must be clean, dry and free from grease, oil and
any loose material. Concrete should be primed with 1 part
Sika Prufe diluted with 6 parts water and left to dry.
To damp-proof floors: Brush apply two coats at 0.8m2 per
litre continuing up the walls to join the existing damp proof
course. Second coat at right angles to first. Overlay with
screed when dry.
For damp penetration through walls (not rising damp):
Level uneven surfaces, brush apply 3 coats at 0.5 litres/
metre2/coat. Allow to dry between coats. Blind final coat

Description
Sika Bitumen Mastic is a heavy filled, fibre modified,
bituminous compound that dries to a flexible black coating
that remains soft and pliable for a long time after

Bitumen Mastic into the crack then over coat with a 25mm
band at 3mm thickness. For large cracks/holes and cracks or
pinholed areas in sheeting and metals, apply Sika Bitumen
Mastic over the area to be treated and embed a closely
woven glass fibre membrane into the mastic to overlap the
area by 50mm. Allow to dry and apply a second coat fully
covering the reinforcing membrane. For fixings, top seal and
trowel to a smooth finish. Rebed loose fixings in mastic and
tighten. To repair felt, re-adhere any loose
material/flashings/details and seal joints with Sika Bitumen
Mastic. Only apply to completely dry surfaces and ensure no

Cut felt to size and lay flat for 24 hours before use to assist
application. For timber roofs, nail down the first layer of felt
and bond following layers using Sika Roof Felt Adhesive .
Apply the adhesive to the roof area with a mop, squeegee or
stiff brush. Leave to become tacky (15 min-1 hr) then place
the roofing felt ensuring no air is trapped. The felt should be
lapped minimum 75mm at sides and 150mm at ends, then
sealed generously with Sika Roof Felt Adhesive. When
using as a gritting solution, be sure to over-grit and tread well
in or preferably roll. Drying time varies depending on
conditions. Allow 24 to 48 hours for the adhesive to fully

Joints must be dry, free from dirt, debris or weeds and at

least 5mm wide and 25mm deep. Once the Sika Pave Fix
Plus foil pack is opened the material must be used within 1
hour. Empty half the contents of a pack onto the paving at
a time. Dampen the paving slabs before starting the job.
Open one bag at a time and brush in lightly. Do not press or
rub the Sika Pave Fix Plus into the paving surface. Make
sure joints are completely filled and compacted. Do not
add any extra sand. Sika Pave Fix Plus starts to set in 612 hours above 15C in dry conditions. Contact with rain or
moisture can soften product and slow the final set. In
heavy rain protect the surface to prevent pitting. Allow up
to 4 days for temperatures between 4C and 15C. For full

Narrow Joints
Description
Faster than traditional methods, Sika Setting Sand can
be simply poured or swept into joints before being
saturated with water giving perfect pointing for all types
of block paving. Once cured it will not wash out, shrink
or crack over time.

Joints must be dry, free from dirt, debris or weeds. Dry mix
the contents of bucket by raking through to ensure all the
material is loose. Pour/sweep material into the joints making
sure each joint is completely filled and the material
compacted by tapping the joint. Thoroughly soak the joints
with a hose pipe set to spray or a watering can fitted with a
rose. The Sika Setting Sand finished surface is safe to
walk upon immediately after activation but ideally should be
left to dry. Drying will typically take 1-2 days, but full curing
may take up to 28 days (depending on weather conditions).
Leave a minimum of 28 days before pressure washing.

Description
Sika Block Paving Seal is a clear resin that impregnates
and seals block paving. It resists oil and diesel spillage and
improves the overall appearance of the paving blocks.

Description
A solvent free water repellent and protector for concrete,
brick, stone and masonry. Protecting against rainwater
impenetration without changing the aesthetic appearance
of the substrate. The penetration depth depends on the
porosity of the surface being treated.

As a water repellent for all types of masonry including:

of the material to be treated, Sika Water Seal penetrates
to a depth of 5mm, effectively repelling driving rain. The
surface however is allowed to breathe, ensuring that
previously absorbed moisture will evaporate and
consequently allow the treated areas to dry out normally.
Coverage will be dependent upon the porosity of the
surface being treated, but 2 coats are normally applied. A
trial area is recommended to establish the exact

Wire brush or hard broom to remove all loose and friable
material and vacuum clean. Ensure floor is dry before
applying. New concrete should be over 3 weeks old. Stir
before use then pour Sika Dustproofer over the area
evenly using a plastic watering can. Brush the liquid over
and across the surface to ensure even penetration. If any
material is not absorbed, mop up before drying do not
allow to puddle. After 24 hours apply a second coat by the
same method. A third coat may be necessary for extremely
porous surfaces. 24 hours after the final coat, thoroughly
wash the surface with clean water. Between applying coats
of Sika Dustproofer, it is still possible to use the area.
Porosity and texture affect the coverage rate of Sika

Solvent and VOC free dry rot masonry fluid.
Description
Used to eradicate and stop the spread of dry rot fungus
in masonry and brickwork. Out-performs traditional
solvented products.
Typical Uses
n Can be used to sterilise a sub floor over-site where
necessary in areas of dry rot out-breaks
n Use in gauging water for the re-rendering of treated
masonry or brickwork.

Determine the full extent of the dry rot outbreak, identify
and remove infected timbers (cut back timbers and remove
plaster/render in all directions 450-500mm beyond last
signs of fungal growth. Clean all wall areas and over-sites
to remove surface growth and strands. For surface
sterilisation, saturate surface of wall using a course spray.
Where fungal growth has penetrated the wall structure,
irrigate the wall through holes drilled two thirds of the wall
depth at staggered 230mm centres and at a downward
angle into the mortar beds to ensure full penetration.
Surface Spray: 1 litre of product per 3-4m2 of surface.
Irrigate: 10 litres of product per 3m2. For details, limitations

Ensure that timber to be treated is clean and free from bark.

Paint or other surface coatings should be removed. Remove
any decayed wood and replace with sound timber prior to
application. Sikagard Wood Preserver is ready to use. Shake
well prior to use. Apply by brush, spray or dipping. Apply a
minimum of 2 coats if brushing or spraying. The second coat
should be applied before the first coat has completely dried.
Thoroughly soak end grains when dipping. For Internal Timbers
apply 2 coats at a rate of 1 litre of product per 3 - 4m of
surface. Dip end grains for a minimum of 3 minutes. For
External Timbers (not in ground contact) apply 3 coats at a rate
of 1 litre of product per 3 - 4m of surface. Dip end grains for a
minimum of 1 minute. Approximately 1 hour to dry depending

Solvent and VOC Free Cleaner for Green
Moss, Algae and Mould
Description
An acid and bleach free concentrate (requiring dilution with
water). Suitable for use on most outdoor surfaces.
Typical Uses
n Once diluted Sika Mould Cleaner can be used on all
outdoor surfaces including paved areas, patios,
driveways, block pavers, fencing, decking, steps, sheds,
glass, Perspex, UPVC, guttering, garden furniture, walls,
roofs and slates.
n Safe to use around areas such as the garden, kennels,
buildings and public areas.
Advantages
n Solvent/VOC free non toxic, non corrosive and fully
biodegradable.
n Easy to use - just apply to the surface and leave - no
power washing or scrubbing required.
n Effective for 6-12 months.
n Non flammable.
Application
Ensure that debris such as leaves, twigs, loose soil or
weeds are removed from surfaces to be treated prior to
application. Sika Mould Cleaner (concentrate) requires
dilution with water. Place 1 x 20g sachet into 2.5 litres of
water or 2 x 20g sachets into 5 litres of water. Allow to
dissolve for 2-3 minutes then mix well prior to application.
1 x 20g sachet will treat up to 25m2 of surface and 2 x 20g
sachets will treat up to 50m2 depending on level of soiling.
On heavily soiled surfaces a second application may be
required. Do not apply if rain is imminent or expected
within 6 hours. Drying time is approximately 2 hours

Water Based Concrete Block Paving Sealer
Description
Resiblock Superior is a solvent free sealer used to
bond jointing sand and seal the surface of concrete
block paving, whilst retaining its normal flexural
properties. Available in a wet look or matt finish.
Typical Uses
n Ideal to bond jointing sand and seal the surface of
concrete block paving.
n Retains its normal flexural properties..
Advantages
n Easy application.
n Protects against oil, diesel and food staining
(guaranteed).
n Resistant to chipping and peeling.
n Hard wearing, durable, long lasting and weather
resistant.
n Prevents against weeds and ants nests.
n Enhances the look of old and new paving with lasting
colour.
n Solvent free and odour free.
n Eco-friendly no VOCs.
Ensure paving is dry and free from dirt. Do not apply if risk
of rain within 12hrs. Only apply to newly laid paving 8 wks
after installation, and 2 wks for refurbished paving. Apply to
edges of paving with a paint brush and use a roller on main
areas. 2 coats are required: thicker 1st coat (3m2/litre)
and thinner 2nd coat (6m2/litre). Allow a min. 2 hours and
max. 24 hrs between coats. Do not walk on before 3-6hrs
(touch-dry) after application, or drive vehicles on before
24hrs (fully cured). Always wear protective clothing. Clean
un-cured sealant and tools immediately with water. For full

Guaranteed
All surfaces and jointing sand must be dry and free from
dirt. Only apply when there is no risk of rain within the next
12 hours. Apply to new laid paving after initial 8 weeks and
refurbished paving after 2 weeks. Apply to edges of paving
with a paint brush and evenly to the main areas using a
roller. 2 coats are required. Leave a minimum of 3 hours
and a maximum of 24 hours between the first and second
coats. Avoid walking on sealed areas for 3 hours after
application and do not drive vehicles on the surface for 24
hours. Resiblock Superior will normally be touch dry
within an hour and cure sufficiently in 3-6 hours (200C) to
accept foot traffic. Full cure is achieved over 1-2 days.
During initial drying period, keep children and pets away
