Preface
The benefits of getting to know all the names of Allah [SWT] by heart is tremendous.
Learning and remembering Allah's Names/Attributes might become tedious at times. We
thought of simplifying this process through children's stories in a series of 7 books. Day today activities were spun along in the stories to make children and elders remember the
events easily thereby facilitating the understanding of the attributes of Allah [SWT] and
also to get it itched in their memory in a natural way.
One Friday morning, there was a heavy rain in the town, little boy Imran was seeing
the rain through the window in his room. Mother Khadeejah kept calling him from the
living room but Imran didnt respond. So, she came to his room to see what Imran was
doing. On seeing him so grooved with the rain, she patted on his back.
Do you like
rain, my son?
Khadeejah smiled and asked him Do you want to know something special about the
rain? He nodded his head.
Khadeejah said Allah [SWT] blesses everyone with rain whether they are good or
bad, they pray to him or not. Water being the source of life in this world, he doesnt
deprive anyone of this invaluable gift. Thats why we call him Ar-Rahman The Most
Merciful. Imran wholeheartedly thanked Allah for his mercy.
Khadeejah also said Allah [SWT] is showering his mercy on all his creations because
He loves them so much. We call him Ar-Rahim The Most Compassionate for this
love upon us.
Imran asked But from where does Allah gives this much?
While they were talking, Sister Hana came into the room saying Salam to both of
them. Imran and Khadeejah returned their greetings.
As-Salamu alaykum
Next day evening, Imran and Hana were playing basketball in the backyard. Each one
will have 10 chances, whoever pockets the maximum will be the winner. Khadeejah
was the scorer for the game.
Mom,
everytime I
play this game
I lose
Mom said Dont worry Imran, have faith in Allah [SWT] and target the basket, you will
perform well Insha Allah because Allah [SWT] is Al-Mumin The Inspirer of Faith.
His help is always there for us".
Al-Muhaymin
The Guardian
He who watches over and
protects all things
Imran started the game but Hana was pocketing the basket
more times than her brother until half time. Imran looked
dejected, seeing this Khadeejah encouraged Imran saying
Dont lose hope, Allah [SWT] is Al-Muhaymin The
Guardian, he will not let you down.
Now, Imran gained some confidence and was able to pocket more this time. He
emerged victorious. Khadeejah reminded him of Allahs mercy for his victory. She said
Allah himself is Al-Aziz The Victorious and gives victory to those who believe in
him and work hard.
Now its Hanas turn to become sad for losing the game. Khadeejah consoled her
saying Dont worry, Hana, this is just a game. Pray to Allah [SWT] to fix your mistakes
and to perform well the next time as Allah [SWT] is Al-Jabbar The Compeller He
repairs all mistakes.
They started a new game, this time Hana was able to score more than her brother.
She was so happy that Allah [SWT] has given her success this time.
Khadeejah reminded both of them that Allah may not give success or failure to the
same person always but gives it alternatively to remind his creations to remain humble
during success and not to lose hope during failure establishing his Majesty as He is
Al-Mutakabbir The Majestic.
On one of the vacation days, mother Khadeeja brought Hana and Imran to the beach.
The kids started to scoop the sand as much as they could to build a castle.
No one except Allah [SWT] Al-Khaliq The creator has made this. Not only this,
see the vast ocean, the high sky, the mountains everything is Allah's [SWT] creation.
Allah [SWT] is Al-Bari The Maker of Order. If you observe carefully, you would
understand that he designs everything in perfect synch with each other. said Mom.
Suddenly, it started to drizzle. The kids ran to an umbrella to avoid getting wet.
While they were waiting, Imran noticed rainbow in the sky and with excitement he
told his sister and his mom. Hana was so thrilled to realize her dream of seeing a
rainbow. Both the kids loved it.
.
The drizzle stopped and the kids started to play in the dashing waves. Hana kept
wondering about the nature of these waves which kept hitting the shore without any
rest and shared her thought with her mother.
Hearing this, Khadeejah told My child, we have a learning from these waves. We
should be consistent like these waves in asking for repentance from Allah [SWT] to
wash away ours sins and sincerely believe that Allah [SWT] will forgive us as he is
Al-Ghaffar The Forgiving.
Mom how does the sun go away
and moon come correctly at night?
Al-Ghaffar
The Forgiving
The One who is always
ready to forgive
Al-Qahhar
The Subduer

Imran acknowledged Allahs mightiness. As it was getting late, all three of them
started back to home.
