Course Description
Organizational Behavior (OB) is a field of study that investigates the impact that individuals,
groups, and organizational structures and systems have on human behavior within
organizations. Organizations are the behaviour of the people in them: making decisions,
influencing each other, acting on those decisions, obtaining resources, etc. We will study the
broader context of organizations, particularly business organizations, to provide a background
for our study of the human side of organizations.
This course is designed for the prospective and on job managers with application of
behavioural sciences to management. This course focuses on the primary factors which
influence behaviour in organizations to include: Perception, personality, attitudes, motivation,
leadership, decision making, communication, group processes, diversity, organization change,
self-awareness, and stress management.
