We are excited to have you join our academic community. This Welcome Week
schedule highlights activities that will help you succeed at SU. All first-year students are
expected to attend the activities. There are many people here to help you, just ask your
OAs, RAs, Peer Mentors, Collegia staff, faculty, and staff questions as needed. Have
fun Class of 2017!
This is an opportunity to talk with Student Financial Services staff about the ins and
outs of reading the students online invoice, payment options, parent access to
student information and what happens in this quarter and future quarters in terms of
continuing to receive financial aid.
2:30pm -5:00pm Commuters (Lynn Collegium)
Come to your campus home away from home to pick up your Welcome Week
materials, reconnect with peer mentors, other new commuters, and enroll in the
Collegium for the school year.
3:00pm Meetings for New Students- (residence hall floors and Lynn Collegium)
Please report to your residence hall floor for a mandatory floor meeting with your
Resident Advisors (RAs). Commuters, please go to the Lynn Collegium.
3:45pm Student Development Resource Fair for Families (Student Center 160)
The Student Development divisional offices host a resource fair for your last minute
questions about our programs and services.
5:00pm-6:15pm Small Group Meetings over Dinner (Meet on the Union Green)
Meet the Orientation Advisors (OAs) who will make your Welcome Week an
incredible experience. Start off right, and connect with your small groups.
Combining the art of dance with drama, this event is not to be missed. Starring your
OAs as center stage superstars, they'll have you laughing and learning about the renowned
traditions of being a Redhawk. Your red invitation is your ticket to this event.
7:30pm S.U.P.E.R. Scavenger Hunt (SU Park) Students living on even numbered floors
Join your floor or collegium for SUs puzzling & exciting rapid scavenger hunt. This
fast paced team race will test your knowledge and quirky skills for points and prizes.

All incoming student-athletes (freshmen and transfers) are required to attend this
session. Student-athletes will be introduced to athletics staff members, review the
student-athlete handbook, and get to know other student athletes. Go Redhawks!
