NEELY to perform Feb. 18

at Craig First Church of God
NEELY The voice of
Daughtry, the heart of Evanescence, and the guitars
of Three Doors Down will
be performing at the First
Church of God in Craig,
Missouri, Wednesday, February 18, 2015, at 7:00 p.m.
Free will donations will be
accepted.
Nestled in the heart of
Music City (Nashville, Tennessee), enigmatic husband
and wife duo Jeremy and
Kaci (NEELY) emerge with
a grit and energy that integrates the regions eclectic
musical soundscape into an

array of well-crafted rock

anthems featuring spine
chilling harmonies and
hook-laden lyrics. Backed by
a tight, hard-hitting lineup
of dynamic, high-powered
musicians, NEELY is a modern rock force to be reckoned
with.
In 2013, NEELY began
to show some of their down
home roots. NEELY teamed
up with producer Jon King
to turn a classic catch
phrase into a modern southern rock anthem called Kiss
My Grits. A constant crowd
favorite wherever they go,

Kiss My Grits has helped

NEELY show the world they
will make excellent music
without the confines of Record Label generated genres.
2014 has definitely become a
year where the rebel spirit of
NEELY comes out and says,
we arent Rock, we arent
Country, we arent Christian
Music . . . we are NEELY!
The roots of what is now
NEELY began decades ago
in the small towns of Cosby,
Missouri, and Bennington,
Kansas, where both Jeremy and Kaci would record
hours of radio broadcasts on
cassette tape and pour over
the content, honing writing
and vocal skills that seeming providence would set on
a collision course. The two
were married May 5, 1996,
yet it wasnt until the summer of 2000 that they began
to explore the extraordinary
musical harmony that was
fused together. Constantly
pursuing excellence in their
craft and traveling under
other banners, Jeremy and
Kaci began to exhibit a quality in their music that began
to turn heads in the central
United States.
With a simple yet heartfelt approach to scripting
songs, Jeremy and Kaci have
compiled a set of songs that
span an array of emotion.
From the anthemic Everything I Am to driving guitars and vocals on In The
Middle to the heartfelt cry
of affection that pours out of
You and Me the relentless
onslaught of catchy melodies and well crafted lyrics
have captivated listeners all
over the world. NEELY has
spent decades crafting and
honing their skills to pour
into the making of Everything I Am, Colorblind,
and Kiss My Grits and
that same skill, experience,
and energy is on display in
their live performances.

The elementary took a
field trip to the Childrens
Museum in Omaha on January 16. All of the elementary
went. After enjoying the
wonders to be seen at the
museum, the children went
bowling.
Clayton Vernon, in second
grade, says It was really fun
to be with my friends at the
bowling [alley]. Next, the
kids celebrated the fun day
with pizza. All in all, it was
a memory that will never be
forgotten.

Courtwarming
game
by Jayton Johnson
The Bulldogs basketball
team faced the NodawayHolt Trojans Friday for their
courtwarming game.
Senior basketball player
Trevor Brown was asked
how he felt about the courtwarming game in an interview. He replied, Bittersweet. Glad to have such a
greater role on this team,
but it will be sad when the
season is over. Also when
asked how they will win the
game, he said they will need
to work as a team and they
will have a good chance of
winning the game.
The Fairfax Bulldogs will
be ready to play when they
step out on the court. Go

Fairfax FFA Chapter

Adopt-A-Family project
by Dakota Allen,
FFA member
Every Christmas our FFA
chapter makes an effort to
give back to the community by participating in the
Atchison County Adopt-AFamily program. This year,
with the help of a local donor, we had the opportunity
to adopt both a family with
children and a senior citizen. We had lots of fun going
shopping in Maryville! Ten
FFA members, Miss Fields
and Mrs. Davis took off from
the Ag Building at 7:00 a.m.

When we got to Wal-Mart

we divided into groups and
set out to find gifts for each
person on our list. We had
a lot of fun shopping and
even playing with some of
the toys! We even ran into
Santa Claus while we were
there and there was no
way we could pass up an opportunity to take a picture
with the big man himself.
Overall our shopping trip
was a huge success and a lot
of fun for our chapter. We
are looking forward to next
Christmas season!
