The Bina Insan Guru 4 which was held in Felda Soeharto this semester gave a new

meaningful experience to the participants from Semester 4 students. This is due to the
cooperation of the students and the people of Felda Soeharto in carrying out the community
service program. The community service this time gave me an opportunity to clean the
graveyard area of the Felda. Meanwhile, I also got the chance to analyse several strengths
and weaknesses which can be found in this semesters Bina Insan Guru Program.
Each class of Semester 4 was assigned a different task. My class, G 4.9, was
responsible to carry out the cleaning works in two places; mosque and graveyard area. The
graveyard area is a bit far from the community hall. Thus, we need to jump on the farm lorry
to go there. As we reached the graveyard area, we were divided into three teams by our
class monitor. We were given the cleaning tools such as the scratchers and plastic bags to
ease our works. There, we need to respect the graveyard area by not making any noise and
keep a good manner. Personally, I would like to say that I was able to learn how to work with
my friends by maintaining the team value among us while doing the works. Besides, the
value of respect was also instilled practically as we need to keep our manners in the
graveyard area. Apart from that, I was also been taught to be patient and strong. This is
because while doing our works, the sun shone mercilessly and dried our throats up. To
worsen the condition, the wet condition of the graveyard area due to the earlier raining,
made our works became harder as we did not use any gloves. However, I still managed to
complete the task as I wanted to give something for the people of Felda Soeharto. Plus, it
was my new experience in a new place.
The well managed activities of this semesters Bina Insan Guru can be considered
as a good point of the program. The flow of the program was smooth without any problem
occurs. Besides, the participants also got an enough food supply which was suitable for all.
The program of Bina Insan Guru this time also enables the participants to get the new
experience as they can feel the life of Felda people. The friendliness of the community also
made us feeling welcomed to the place. The BIG this time was a unique one as it needed us
to do the cleaning works as a community service. The activities which were carried out also
suit the aim of the program. The aim of the program was to produce a good quality teacher
who possesses the value of teamwork, responsibility, respectfulness and leaderships.
The prepared place for us to stay was not compactible to the big number of
participants. It was a weak point of the program as the participants were not comfortable at
all. The female participants were placed in a meeting room. Meanwhile, the male participants
needed to stay at the community hall which also functioned as our gathering point. Besides,
the insufficient tools to ease our works contributed as a weak point of the program. Without

an enough supply of tools, the works need to be done became difficult and hard. Apart from
that, there was not enough number of lecturers to monitor the participants during the
program. This problem was a big one as the evaluation of the lecturers is important for the
students. Supposedly, the lecturers need to be with the participants during the cleaning
works to make the community service became merrier.
For the suggestions, I would like to point out that the committee needs to prepare a
comfortable place for the students to stay. Besides, the supply of the tools should also be
looked upon to ease the works in the next program. This is the job need to be done by the
management and the working committee to ensure the smooth flow of the program. Besides,
the lecturers also need to be with the participants during all activities in the next program.
The evaluation of the lecturers is important, but a good relationship between them and the
participants is more important.
In conclusion, I would hope that the next Bina Insan Guru Program can overcome
the problems stated and keep the improve the strengths which were pointed out.
