This subject will be delivered using the following means:

Lecture Hours = 42 hours
Supervised Tutorial Hours = 10
Laboratory Experiments = 6
Total Contact Hours = 58
1. Introduction to the Program Debugger
2. Study of CPU using a Simulator

16. Details of
Assignment

Example:
Title: Operations of computer arithmetic, instruction set and control unit
Objective: To study the working of computer arithmetic, instruction set and
control unit.
Type: Test of fundamental concepts and micro-operations design
Description: The assignment covers three topics in ECP 2046, which are
arithmetic, instruction set and control unit. Questions on arithmetic
and instruction set require students to solve problems using basic algorithms and
concepts taught. Example of questions for control unit is Design the sequence of
micro-operations (e.g. add a number to the AC) required for the bus structure
based on a given figure.
