Cindy Young is a successful trainer, exhibitor and instructor. She rode the 2009 World Champion and 2008 Reserve World
Champion in Junior Hunter Under Saddle. She has multiple top 5 Congress placings and coaches youth in all-around events
including showmanship, horsemanship, equitation and hunter under saddle. Cindy and her family operate Young Quarter
Horses in Yadkinville, North Carolina. Laurie Hoopes coaches youth and amateurs at Laurie Hoopes Show Horses in
Vermillion, Ohio. She is the coach and trainer of multiple Congress and World Show top ten finishers in trail events.

The Ag Arena is located on the campus of Penn State University in State College. From Rt. 322/I-99, take the Penn State
exit, travel approximately 1 mile towards the stadium and university. The Ag Arena is located across from Beaver Stadium.

Cindy Young and Laurie Hoopes
Both clinicians will conduct lessons for a limited number of horses and riders. Intensive sessions
will include drills and exercises in equitation/horsemanship and trail. Spectators welcome!
Three sessions, each approximately 2.5 hours, will be held throughout the day. Each session will
be limited to 4-5 riders. Participants may sign up for one or more sessions. If participating in
more than one session, schedule will allow the second session to build on skills developed in the
first. Riders will be grouped by interest and ability levels. Contact Tammy Eichstadt as noted
below for more information or details about sessions.
Lesson fee for riders: $100 per session Spectator fee: $10
Stalls are available by reservation on a limited basis. Stall fee: $40. Bedding is not provided,
and stalls must be cleaned prior to leaving.
Riders must complete rider registration form & submit payment no later than March 5!
