All the following examples illustrate the premium image quality
that can be expected from a CT/e clinical examination.
Simultaneously, images are acquired, reconstructed, processed
and directly filmed to any DICOM-compatible printer. The system
is provided with a full set of 300 protocols and MPVR/MPR
reconstruction software.

HiLight…the ideal Detector
The GE-patented Gold Standard HiLight
has proved itself in over 20,000 of GE’s
CT units. The design of the detector pro-
vides reliability, stability and optimum
efficiency (99%). Clinical benefit means
image quality improvement, dynamic
scan capability, reduced patient dose, lon-
ger tube life, rapid scan technique and
thinner slice capability.
Smart Helical: Optimizing technique
and dose in helical acquisition
The GE-patented helical reconstruction
algorithm, SmartHelical allows even
lower mAs techniques, improved by 33%,
without any loss in image quality.
Through lower tube load, SmartHelical
offers clinicians the ability to scan using
thinner slice thickness and achieve
improved spatial resolution… or increase
helical coverage for large coverage appli-
cations.

Auto mA is a revolution
in dose management
and improved signal-to-
noise ratio.
Auto mA
Because different tissue
has different X-ray
absorption, a constant
mA intensity can be
either too much or not
enough. Auto mA modulates the mA to
match the absorption of the tissue in
each slice, so you get consistently higher
signal-to-noise ratios with reduced dose.
The result is superior imaging perfor-
mance.
Advanced Artifact Reduction:
Algorithm for better image quality and
improved patient comfort.
With Advanced Artifact Reduction filter,
clinicians have no limit in achieving a
clinical diagnosis, showing no artifact on
