Colour competition for KG kids

India has always been exalted and remembered fondly as the

country of symbolic colours. In a country as diverse and culturally

vibrant as India, it is the common, simple expressions of colour that
hold together the multitudes of outlooks, lifestyles and traditions.
The Kindergarten students of Madha Public School represented this
by wearing colours like deep orange, dynamic red, black which is
associated with the absence of energy, white which is accepted as the
colour of peace and purity, yellow which symbolizes sanctity, blue
and green the colours of nature, purple the colour of royalty and
attractive pink. The students explained that India stands strong as an
example of unity in a world so divided.

C.D. Gopinath Trophy goes to AVM Cricket Academy

he Organizing Committee
of the tournament for boys
Under 12 years for
C.D.Gopinath trophy cleared
AVM Cricket Academy as
Winners consequent to the
withdrawal of finalist Future
Stars Cricket Academy (FSCA)
over a Umpiring reason during
the third over of their innings.
Earlier AVM CA batted first and
scored 111 runs in 20 Overs for
the loss of six wickets.(Arvind40, SriCharan-35).
When FSCA commence their
innings, they lost one wicket in 2
Overs. Not satisfied with the
umpire decision on a wide ball,
they
had
unfortunately
withdrawn from the tournament,
in spite of the fact that they had
better opportunity to win the
trophy..Consequently,
the
committee decided to give the
runners up trophy to the other
semifinalist Chennai Stars
Cricket Academy (CSCA).
Mr.C.D.Gopinath , former
Test Cricketer was the Chief Guest
and he distributed the prizes to
the Winners . He advised the
budding
Cricketers
to
concentrate on basic lessons of
the game and not to follow up the
pattern of the game prevailing in
T20 tournament until they reach
senior level.
Earlier Oath taking was
taken from the boys to observe
the values of life to ensure that
they should be the best citizens
of this country.
Mr.A.G.Milka Singh who
chaired the function informed the
gathering that C.D.Gopinath was
a gentleman cricketer and a
shrewd captain of the Ranji
Trophy team. He had the capacity

to captain the Indian Team. Further Milka Singh claimed that

Mr.A.G.Kripal Singh and M.L.Jaisimha(Hyd) were the other expert
captains under whom he played Ranji Trophy and South Zone matches.
They should have also captained the Indian Team by virtue of their
knowledge in the game.
During the occasion, R. Ram Arvindh (AVM CA) who recently
played for TN state cricket team under-14 was felicitated by
Mr.A.G.Milka Singh. Milka Singh highlighted the fact that there is lot
of changes in playing cricket due to modern cricket gear. Now a mistimed stroke goes for six or 4 runs. Such is the quality of the bats
available in the present days.
The following players were awarded special prizes. Best Batsmen
- Aravind ,Varun Anand, A.Badrinath; Best Bowler - U.Ashwin ,
Arnav sundararaman; Best Wicket Keeper A. Arun; Man of the
Series Sri Charan.
Runners up prizes were awarded to CSCA. Mr.Jayaraman, the
founder of the academy received the trophy from A.G.Milka Singh
along with the team captain.
Earlier Mr.M.K.Iqbal welcomed the gathering and appreciated
the good work done by E.Ajay and his team for successfully
conducting the tournament. Also he declared but for the help extended
by AVM Mr.K.Shanmugam, the tournament could not have been taken
place. He added that the tournament will be organized in a bigger way
during the next season with financial help from sponsors.
Mr. UmaMahesh gave the full details of the tournament and
Ratanlal Sharma, one of the parents appreciated the way the tournament
was conducted.

TN State cricket team under-14 player R. Ram Arvindh with

Former Test Cricketer A.G.Milka Singh,
Senior coach M.K.Iqpal and Mustafa
Mr.UmaMahesh gave Vote of Thanks. While giving vote of
thanks, immensely thanked C.D.Gopinath for sparing his valuable
time to visit Avichi School to attend the function.
