Applications
With its single group capability, the OmniScan SX is the
answer for less demanding applications.
It is ideal for linear zero-degree inspection, such as
corrosion mapping or composite inspection, as well as weld
inspection using one phased array group or one TOFD
channel.

3. Data Storage
After an acquisition is saved, all A-Scans
are stored on the Flash card.
Stored data can be post analysed within
the instrument or on a computer using
OmniPC or TomoView.
One of the feature that is commonly
required for code compliancy is the ability
to archive unprocessed data.
4. Encoding
Required for precise defect positioning and sizing
Same encoder connector and capabilities between the
MX2 and the SX
One encoder is typically well suited for applications such
as weld inspection.
Two encoders are a best fit for corrosion or composite
mapping (XY raster scan)
