Increased sales, market share and profitability in most segments through the implementation of an integrated product
planning process segmenting brands and defined value propositions, pricing strategy and marketing activity.
Designed a dealer/plant inventory program and implemented production scheduling to better fit demand profiles
resulting in numerous benefits including improved production planning and reduced cycle time; reduced finished
goods inventories by over $8 million; increased inventory turnover; and eliminated discounts. A secondary
benefit was increased dealer cycle time and turnover resulting in incrementally increased sales and market share.
Generated millions of dollars in additional sales and profits through the implementation of a special product
marketing scheme initiative aimed at the lower end segments where we could provide a tangible value
proposition and improve market share in a segment where the company typically struggled.
Developed and implemented a Traveling Road Show training concept that equipped the sales force with
information and techniques that resulted in the highest sales and market share gains in company history (over 50%
share in the southern California market area compared to approximately 15% nationally). This training concept
was subsequently implemented nationwide.
Turned around an underperforming sales group by implementing an MBO sales management philosophy focusing
on improving weaker performing markets and dealers, with the objective of impacting the sales organizations
ability to grow sales revenue and market share, resulting in the region becoming the number one brand seller for
the first time in company history, increasing eastern regional sales by 87% to $187 million.
Coordinated a collaborative multi-dealer, multi-media, regional marketing program resulting in sales of over 60%
of available inventory in 3 days, including a significant volume of obsolete inventory, allowing for replacement
with new model year products. This marketing format was adopted in other major markets and used for 10
consecutive years.
Developed two Sales Managers who were subsequently promoted to Regional Sales Directors in the new sales
organization.
Manufacturing plant operations team member; raised eastern regional sales by 87%, increasing plant volume and
profitability to highest ROI and ROS in division. Key player in developing award winning quality control
program to reduce warranty expense and implement quality brand marketing strategy. Team implemented
kaizan materials system and off-line departments just-in-time workflow process, eliminating work in process
