PREFACE
Tatung started to produce and sale motors since 1949 and also have started to collaborate with Westinghouse Electric
Company U.S.A. and Toshiba Corporation, Japan since 1956.
In order to provide both domestic and overseas customers with high quality, high performance electric motors and machine
tools, Tatung started to build Sanhsia Plant in 1972 and completed it in 1974. The motor plant had expanded to supply excellent
products and services for many well-known domestic and overseas customers.
Motor products include high voltage, low voltage, single phase, three phase motors. The largest three phase electric machine
ever made as 10.56MVA 18P 6.6KV vertical type synchronous generator; 6,500KW 8P 11.4KV scherbius control wound rotor
induction motor, 8840KW 4P 6.6KV cage rotor type induction motor, 5,000KVA 12P motor-generator frequency/ voltage converter
system; 2,900KW 22 pole (equal to 21,500HP 4 pole) pump motor. Varieties of motors for ventilation fan, water pump, speed
reducer, variable speed reducer, inverters, EC motors, DC motors, DC servo motors, brake motors, resilient motors, crane motors,

In Taiwan, we are the first one who awarded the National QC Group Award and the certificates of ABS and CR. Our products
meet standards of MARK, NEMA, UL, CSA and CE. Tatung Motor Plant awarded ISO-9001 certificate in 1993, awarded ISO14001 from SGS in 1999, awarded the United States Commercial Department NVLAP Laboratory Accreditation in 2002, and
awarded CSA explosion-proof motor certificate in 2003.
