Cisco announces the end-of-sale and end-of life dates for the Cisco Secure Access
Control Server Solution Engine 1112 Hardware. The last day to order the affected
product(s) is August 11, 2006. Customers with active service contracts will continue to
receive support from the Cisco Technical Assistance Center (TAC) as shown in Table 1
of the EoL bulletin. Table 1 describes the end-of-life milestones, definitions, and dates for
the affected product(s). Table 2 lists the product part numbers affected by this
announcement. For customers with active and paid service and support contracts,
support will be available until the termination date of the contract, even if this date
exceeds the Last Date of Support shown in Table 1.
This is an end-of-sale announcement for the hardware alone. Cisco Access Control Server (ACS)
Solution Engine is composed of the hardware and the ACS Solution Engine software that runs on
this hardware. The latest software release at the time of this bulletin's distribution is ACS 4.1 on
the appliance, and this version continues to be supported on the new hardware, Cisco ACS
Solution Engine 1113, which replaces the 1112 hardware.

The combination of the ACS 4.1 software and the new 1113 hardware is equivalent in every way to
the combination of the ACS 4.0.1 software and the 1112 hardware. Please note that ACS 4.1
software continues to be supported and is the latest release of the software as of this bulletin's
date.
