ANNEXURE - A

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
The Thermosiphon pots shall be fabricated as per our attached drwg. No
and the specifications given below :1. Vendor to follow ASME Sec. VIII Div. I.
2. Deviation in dimensions as indicated in Drawing Sheet including
thickness of plates shall be within tolerance limits as specified in
ASME Sec. VIII Div. I.
3. The plates upto 12 mm thk. shall have single V butt welded with
back gazing joint. Above 12 mm thickness shall have double V butt
weld joint.
4. DE Thickness shall not be less than min specified (Thickness) in
ASME Sec. VIII.
5. Nozzles up to 40 NB to be supported with stiffeners.
6. Surface of SS equipment to be acid pickled cleaned. Uncovered MS
parts shall be coated twice with zinc chromate primer after suitable
surface preparation.
7. All the dish ends shall be torispherical.
8. All hardware (Including nuts, bolts & washers) shall be in MS.
9. SS-304 ERW pipe of 19.05 mm OD ,2 mm thk shall be used for the
manufacture of coil.
10. All nozzles shall be socket type with female ends and of sizes as per
the drwg.

ANNEXURE - B
SCOPE OF SUPPLY, EXCLUSIONS & GENERAL
1. Scope: The scope of supply of the Vendor shall include the following
activities:-

Design & supply of drawings for approval of M/s. High Polymer Labs Ltd. as
per Drawing/Documentation clause given in the Annexure - B.

Procurement of material and consumables as per the


equipment and its specifications.

Forwarding equipment to our site by road transport. Vendor shall arrange


for transport and loading of equipment at Vendor's site.

2. Documentation/Drawings
The
vendor
shall
furnish
drawings/documents mentioned below as a part of the Purchase Order.
Documents must give sufficient details to install the equipment. The documents
must show component removal distances and space required for maintenance.
Dimensions shall be in metric system. All drawings shall be completed with
Item No., Purchase Order No., and Date.

a) Fabrication Drawing: The Vendor shall arrange to send 2 prints of the


Fabrication drawings for the Equipments mentioned in Annexure - B
showing all relevant weld details, dimensional details, design data, BOM
part wise with technical specifications, details of fabrication techniques to be
adopted to HPLL for approval within 7 days of receipt of this Purchase
order. High Polymer Labs Ltd. shall send the drawing back with approved as
noted/approved as the case may be. Subsequently the vendor shall send 3
copies of modified final drawings for records.
3. Material : The vendor shall procure all the material required for the
equipments and intimate the purchase to HPLL. Vendor shall arrange to
supply samples of the material for testing by HPLL if required. HPLL
reserves the right to reject the material if found to be off-specification.
Material test certificates have to be submitted to HPLL during final
inspection of the same.

4. Consumables : Vendor shall provide for all consumables to be used in the


fabrication of the equipments and their testing as mentioned in the
Annexure.
5. Welding: Vendor shall carryout Argon Welding for SS-316 to SS-316 and
SS-316 to MS. Vendor shall use ER-316 for SS-316 to SS-316, ER-309 for
SS-316 to MS and E-7018 for MS.
The recommended
makes for
electrode and filler wire are Advani/Essab/D&H/L&T. Vendor shall
specify the make in fabrication drawings and shall submit the test
certificates for the above. Back chipping shall be done and to be offered for
inspection.
6. Testing : All equipments and consumables required for testing of the
equipments shall be provided by the vendor. HPLL shall not provide for any
of these facilities to the vendor.
7. All specifications given in ANNEXURE - B are final and any variation
required would have to be approved by High Polymer Labs Ltd. in writing.
8. Exclusion : The following activity shall be excluded from the scope of vendor :
a) Freight: High Polymer Labs Ltd. shall pay for the transportation from
Vendors premises to HPLLs works. However, the vendor shall take HPLLs
approval before finalisation of the freight.
b) Insurance : The insurance of the equipments shall be done by HPLL. The
vendor shall intimate HPLL for despatch of the equipments 7 days prior to
despatch.
9. Guarantee : The equipments supplied by you shall be guaranteed against
defect in material and workmanship for a period of 12 months from the
date of commissioning or 18 month from the date of despatch, which ever is
earlier. In the event any defects are noticed within the guarantee period,
then you shall send your Service Engineer at your cost to rectify the
defects and demonstrate satisfactory performance. If any part is to be
replaced it will be replaced by you free of cost.
10. L/D Clause : The vendor shall deliver all the equipments within 10 days from
the date of purchase order, otherwise a penalty of 1% per week delay
subject to maximum of 10% of order value shall be deducted after 15 days.

ANNEXURE - C
INSPECTION & TESTING
1. The following inspection & tests shall be carried out by the Vendor in
the presence of High Polymer Labs Ltd. representative at the Vendor's
premises. The schedule for this shall be intimated to High Polymer
Labs Ltd. in the bar chart for manufacture :(a) Material testing : All materials for the fabrication of the equipments
shall be tested (Microstructure, Chemical & Physical) in approved
testing laboratories if required.The sample shall be taken in the
presence of HPLL representative from all the plates which shall be
marked with the HPLL seal. HPLL reserves the rights to reject the
material if found off specifications.
(b) UT Test: Vendor shall arrange to carryout UT Test in the presence of
inspection authority of HPLL on all plates .
(c) Fabrication of the equipment can be proceeded with the marked
material after UT test and final approval of the equipment is subject
to material being as per specification. Inspection of visual details
shall be done simultaneously.
(d) Dimensional Inspection of Vessels : Overall dimensions shall be
inspected and tolerance limit for the same is x 5 mm for fabricated
part where x is any dimension shown in the drawing.
Any
dimension beyond this tolerance limit is liable to be rejected unless
the vendors modifies suitably the equipment so that all dimensions
are within the said tolerance limit. For machined parts the tolerance
limit shall be as per code.
(e) Hydro Test : The equipments shall be tested at hydrostatic pressure
for leakage for Minimum Three hours. The gauge used for pressure
testing will be calibrated in the presence of High Polymer Labs's
Inspection authority. All blind flanges required for this purpose shall
be in the scope of the vendor.
(f) Welder Approval : Qualified Welders shall be approved by the
Inspection authority of HPLL. Vendor to submit WPS/PQR.
(g) D.P. Test: Vendor shall carry out 100% DP test. Vendor can proceed
further after the clearance from HPLL. Vendor shall prepare and offer
all fit up and shall carry out the root run after the clearance of
Inspection authority from HPLL. Back chipping shall be done and to
be offered for inspection.
