1. Call to Order:
Mayor Pringle called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
2. Moment of Reflection or Prayer:
Mayor Pringle called for a moment of reflection or prayer before proceeding with
the Council Meeting.
3. Disclosure of Pecuniary Interest:
Mayor Pringle reminded Council members to disclose any pecuniary interest that
may arise during the course of the meeting. No disclosures of pecuniary interest
were expressed at this time.
4. Minutes of Previous Meetings:

Be it Resolved that the minutes of the Regular Council Meeting of June 4,
2014 be approved as circulated.

There were no public meetings.

8. Reports/Recommendations/Quotes/RFP:
9. Unfinished Business:
BioDigester: Carolyn Vlielander-Marx, Water Service Co-ordinator made a
presentation to Council highlighting the municipal role in Source Water Protection
and pointed out the drinking water threats which include raw septage.
Different scenarios were presented showing the operating cost and capital cost
of the BioDigester. Council will be discussing the BioDigester further at the next
meeting.

10. New Business:


1. Chatsworth Cemetery
Staff will price repairs to the leaning stones in the Chatsworth Cemetery.
2. Markdale Hospital
The Mayor brought forward options to Council for the Markdale Hospital
which included continue requesting new hospital, ask for matching funds
for current donations and build what we can afford or return donations.
Donations continue to come in.

Be it Resolved that the Council of the Township of Chatsworth continue to
support the long-term promised replacement of the aging Centre Grey
Hospital in Markdale with a new facility designed to meet the current and
emerging health care needs of the region.

3. Energy Management Plan


The Treasurer presented the Townships Energy Management Plan which
is required under the Green Energy Act.

Seconded by Cornelius Vlielander
Be it Resolved that the Council of the Township of Chatsworth approve
the Townships Conservation & Demand Management Plan dated June
11, 2014 as required by the Green Energy Act.
