Narrative Report (SLC-C Teachers Day)

September has been a great month and the start of the ber months
which means Christmas is nearing but aside from the excitement brought
about by the Christmas fever the world has also been very excited at the
same time busy preparing for another big event the World Teachers Day. It
is the day the world gives tribute to the people with a very noble profession
our, teachers.
In Saint Louis College-Cebu we have a fixed date for employees day
which will be this January but we would not miss to celebrate with the world
the World Teachers Day to give tribute to our dear teachers. Upon knowing
about this event we planned a surprise for the teachers which we called the
STALKER/SECRET ADMIRER. We had a consensus among the class
presidents and SSG officers and year representatives that everyday starting
October 2, 2012 each one will drop something in the box which will be
addressed to the teachers but they mustnt be known. The things they will
drop will be signed secret admirer. On the first day we agreed it would be
greeting cards or letters to thank them and remind them that they have
inspired many and to wish them advance happy teachers day. The second
day, those something were chocolates to remind them of their sweet words
that inspired our hearts and minds with knowledge and lessons in life and
also to remind them to always smile and wish them a great day ahead of
them. On the third day, these something were flowers to make them feel
special like how they made us always feel and to remind them of their
fragrant presence which inspires us to learn more and more each day. We
really made an effort to do this every day so as to thank them for all the
things they have done for us even through this little way to show our
gratefulness.
October 5, 2012 the most awaited event the World Teachers Day. On
this day we really made it a point to start the day right and there was no
better way of starting the day right than praising and being blessed by God.
So the event began with a Holy Mass for the opening of the mission month
and also for the teachers. A short program followed right after the mass
which began with the opening remarks from our dear principal. A heartstopping song number then followed from our very own Gabriella Georgina
Lada, the champion of vocal solo in the CICM Friendship meet last 20092010. The audience were awed by her performance especially the teachers
to whom she dedicates her song. Another show stopping performance
followed when our very own Benedicto Tampus Jr., the SSG Peace Officer, did

a human beat box. The audience were very much entertained as well as the
teachers who enjoyed it very much. An inspiring message followed right
after the performance by the SSG President Jamie Marie BIao and the SSG
Auditor Angel Balingit. The program concluded with another inspiring
message through a video presentation. Though it was just a short program I
hope we made the teachers happy.
The teachers may have thought that the surprises were over but they
were mistaken another surprise took place in their respective classrooms
which was part of what we agreed among the class presidents. Ive heard
news that some teachers cried of joy over the fantastic surprises prepared.
They shared this over a sumptuous lunch sponsored by the very supportive
Family Council. I hope that we made the day very memorable for our dear
teachers.
