B. Definition
Notice period is the time period between receipt and acceptance of separation and the last working day.
C. Policy Description
1.1.
The notice period policy applies to all permanent employees on limited and unlimited contracts
1.2. The applicable notice period differs by grade as below unless otherwise mentioned in the employees
contract of employment:
Grade 22 and above: 3 months
Grades 21 and below: 1 month
1.3. The notice period must be agreed between the employee and Line Manager, based on the day the
resignation letter was received.
1.4. There is no notice period applicable during probation.
1.5. No notice period or notice pay is applicable if the termination is a result of employee misconduct or
disciplinary action under the relevant articles mandated by UAE Labor Law
1.6. The employee will be eligible for monthly salary, allowances (unless specified) and other benefits during
the notice period and until the last day of service with ETA Group.
1.7. Employees are not eligible for any Leave during notice period.
1.8. Employees are not eligible for any salary increment or promotion during notice period.
1.9. The resignation date and any served notice period will count towards the calculation of the employees
period of service
1.10. If an employee is unable to serve the notice period and without prior approval for waiver, the employee
is liable to pay the Company the equivalent amount of the notice period days, based on gross salary.
Unlimited Contract: Applicable notice period as per policy and grade
Limited Contract: 45 days or until the end of the contract, whichever is less
1.11. Payment of the final settlement is subject to completion of the applicable notice period and successful
completion of the clearance requirements on the last working day as per Exit Administration Policy.
