JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Prepare, Implement, Review & approve Non Destructive Examination

(NDE) Procedures and Written Instructions in order to confirm as per
project specification and relevant International Standards and coordinating.
Witness evaluation and interpretation of NDE techniques like RT, UT, MT,
VT & PT. Co-ordinate with NDE personal and making arrangement to
complete the job in time.

Demonstrate & Explain NDE Techniques to NDE Personnel as per NDE Work
Procedure. Monitor & witness all Inspection activities like Penetrant Testing,
RT

offering,

Radiography

Film

interpretation,

Preparation

of

Reports,

Supervising etc in all Inspection stages

NDE (RT, UT, MT, VT & PT) Inspections in projects of Structures, Piping,
Tanks , Raw materials like Casting, Forgings, Plates etc., fabricated and
welded items as per various
international codes, standards and
specifications.

Carried out Non Destructive Testing like Interpretation of Radiography films,

Dye Penetrant Testing & Ultrasonic testing of welds as per various Codes,

Following Inspection Test Plan and Method Statement for various

activities involved in the construction of Petrochemical Plant as project
specification & relevant International Standards and getting approvals from
the client.

Coordinate in conducting Quality Audits, finding the Non conformities and

suggesting corrective action to resolve.

Coordinating with Material Controller for Incoming Inspection of

varies steel materials, consumables, tools and equipments etc. with relevant
documents like material test certificates. If required performing mechanical
test and chemical analysis in order to confirm as per project specification and
relevant International Standards.

Maintain

the

latest

version

of

all

contracts

documents,

drawings,

specifications and International standards.

Calibration and documentation of measuring instruments, gauges, and

equipments etc.

Good Knowledge of work in Conventional UT which employs Compression

angle beam Transducers and Shear angle beam Transducers.

Carried out Ultrasonic Testing on Ferritic and Austenitic steel. Good

practical experience on Welds of Cladded Pipe and Boilers and also on Rails,
Castings and Forgings.

Assisting in Theoretical & Practical Training of RT, UT, MT, VT & PT on

natural & artificial flaws during ASNT Level I & II seminar on behalf of BIT
Inspection Technology.

Training candidates in the respective testing methods in accordance with

ASNT Recommended practice SNT-TC-1A & BS EN ISO 9712-2012 Standard
document.

Coordinating with client inspection department at various stages of

fabrication activities and getting approval.
