Job Description

La Granja is located in the Chiclayo province in northern Peru. Rio Tinto acquired a 100 per cent of the La Granja mining concession in 2006. In October 2011,
RTMP completed order of magnitude studies and submitted the business case to further advance the project. In November 2011, Rio Tinto granted funding
approval for the completion of prefeasibily studies and to expand the drilling campaign on the La Granja concession. RTMP has targeted the second half of 2013
for the completion of prefeasibility studies. Based on the current schedule, first production is scheduled for 2017.
La Granja has significant potential to be a worldclass copper asset, aligned with both the Rio Tinto and Copper Group strategies. Disclosed resources exceed 18
million tonnes of contained copper and with significant exploration upside, internally assessed mineral inventory is considerably higher. La Granja has potential to
be one of the largest copper mines and is targeting annual average production of 500 thousand tonnes as cathode and concentrate. Net unit cash costs are
expected to be in the second quartile, with potential for further reduction through the recovery of molybdenum and zinc byproducts. Current plans are to develop
the project in three phases to stage capital exposure and maximise optionality through a hybrid approach to processing that utilises both sulphide leaching and
concentrator technologies. With an active community presence both in and around the La Granja concession, the project requires a strong and unrelenting focus
