Manav Rachna carries forward the mantle of excellence and

professionalism with the philosophy of Manav Rachna
Vidyanatariksha.
This is a conjugation of the words 'vidya' and 'antariksha'.
'Vidya' means knowledge, information, the basis of creativity
and innovation. It is the foundation of technology and
envisages the future. 'Antariksha' means 'the sky' the space
which we belong to or exist. It can be broken into 'antar' and
'Ikshan' which means inner vision. Hence the combination,
the core promise of Manav Rachna becomes the reality of
Inner vision or root of all knowledge.

THE LEARNING ENVIRONMENT

We don't focus on mere "knowing" or analytical knowledge and 'rote learning' but more on what we call "Doing" of Skills. The
objective is to create a sense of purpose and identity.
MBA is not knowledge centric but Skill Centric. We help students in identifying their core skills, developing and then learning to
harness these skills.
Our Curriculum and pedagogy stems from our belief in 'Multiple Intelligence' and our pedagogy and diverse learning methods
are based on 'Experiential Learning'.
We believe that both teachers and students are co learners and our teachers facilitate rather than teach according to the 'banking
concept' where one is the receiver and the other is the giver.
Students learn through experiential methods like live field projects, workshops, action research, simulations, prototyping, roleplaying scenarios, socio-drama/psycho-drama, drama, dance, meditation, global immersions, and case studies, seminars,
industry interface and guest lectures, mentoring, etc.
Students maintain a daily Journal/ diary in every Semester documenting their experiences.

RESEARCH AND CONSULTANCY

MRIU launched its Ph.D programme in 2009 in various disciplines including Management Studies as per UGC
guidelines. This opened the doors of imbibing knowledge from many spheres leading to new horizons not only
at individual level but also at departmental levels. All efforts are in place to produce quality doctorates. The insight
is to develop the cognitive abilities i.e.: understanding, comprehension, analysis, and evaluation, the structure
of deductive and inductive reasoning. The scholar is also induced to have general awareness and knowledge
of sources of information and be aware of interaction between people, environment and natural resources and
their impact on quality of life. At present 4 batches of Research scholars are enrolled.
The Faculty members are engaged in active basic and primary research and a number of discipline defined
clusters are operative in the campus. At Manav Rachna the journey from basic to innovative research is on and
has produced rich dividends MRIU has undertaken a large number of research projects.
In the Engineering field, MRIU has various ongoing projects including Formula 1 Racing Car, All Terrain Vehicle,
Fuel Efficient Car, Track Robot, Pregna Care and HIV+ Automated Diagnostic system besides others.
FMS encourages faculty members to publish articles in various journals. It also holds numerous conferences and
symposiums from time to time to enable the faculty members to enhance and showcase their intellectual acumen
and knowledge. Faculty members are involved in action based research and organizational problems are solved
with academic rigor. Some of the ongoing national research projects undertaken by FMS faculty are:
Two projects sponsored by ICSSR (Indian Council for Social Science Research, Ministry of HRD Govt. of

UDYAM- OUR E-CELL

FMS undertakes entrepreneurial training for aspiring managers, rather than just an academic
course. One of the initiatives of FMS in this direction is the Entrepreneurship Cell (E- Cell); Udyam.
Since its establishment in December 2010, Udyam has been instrumental as a catalyst for students
who want to 'follow their heart' towards their career. It's a fact that most MBA students aspire for
jobs in managerial cadre in the corporate world. However, there are a few who want to earn
'differently', by treading the tough but rewarding path of entrepreneurship. Udyam provides support
to all such students.
