A320 & A319 Recurrent Course Syllabus

General
This course is prepared for those participants want to add additional aircraft
type knowledge. It covers all systems differences between the aircraft type
series according to the requirements defined in the related documents for
Certifying Staff. The participants must demonstrate by knowledge
examination a detailed understanding of the listed systems, their operation
and maintenance.
course Description:
This is a level III course with ATA chapters that are related to the
content of the course. The course is designed for those trainees who
are holding a maintenance certificate of A319/A320/A321 and wish
to have a certificate for switching from one to anther and vice versa,
through determining the differences between them. Referring to our
courses, a difference course covers all differences between the two
aircraft that concern certified stuff.
Target Trainees:
All maintenance personnel who need to switch between the two
versions. The trainee should be previously having A & P license/
Avionics Certificate or Engineering Certificate of A319/A320/A321
(CFM56/IAE) or Enhanced A318/ A319/A320/A321 maintenance
course.
Objectives:

To provide the differences between the two models.


Identify and locate components of the Aircraft.
Describe the function of the systems and identify its
interface.
Identify and explain the controls associated with each
system including its indications and annunciators associated
with it.
Servicing procedures of aircraft systems and components.

Level 1
General Familiarization

A brief overview of the airplane, systems and power plants as outlined in the
Systems Description section of the Aircraft Maintenance Manual.
Level 2 Ramp and Transit
Basic System overview of controls, indicators, principal components
including their location and purpose, servicing and minor trouble shooting.
Level 3 Line and Base Maintenance
In addition to the information contained in level 1 and level 2 training, upon
completion of the level 3 training, the participant will be able to:

Describe how to perform system, component and functional checks as


specified in the maintenance manual.
Correlate information for the purpose of making decisions in respect of
fault diagnosis and

rectification to the maintenance manual level.

Describe procedures for replacement of components unique to the


aircraft to maintenance

manual level.

Method of training:
Training can take place at the KIA Airport MCC office , or at a DXB
Engineering of SAFI AIRWAYS for the intended training. Knowledge
transfer will be achieved by Stand-up instruction in the classroom,
accompanied by training aids as data show projector and computer
based presentations (CBT). Each participant will receive a training
syllabus for personal use as well as to use during the course. Training
requires a PCs for each Trainee and multimedia projector to be used
by instructor.
Examination:
Part of the training, are written multi-choice examinations with a
minimum pass mark of 80% each.
