INITIAL ACTIVITIES
Greeting
The teacher greet the students
Morning, students!
How are you today?

Introducing the Topic

Ok students, what is it? Do you know about this? (asks the students)
it is map direction.
These are some blank directions, the teacher asks about the sign and
one of the students comes in front of the class to fill it.

You can use these statements about asking and giving directions
(the teacher asks one of the students to read these).
ASKING DIRECTION
How do I get to...?
How can I get to...?
Can you tell me the way to...?
Where is...?

GIVING DIRECTION
Go straight on
Turn left/right (into street).
Go along /up / down street
Take the first/second road on the
left/right
It's on the left/right.

MAIN ACTIVITIES
First Activity
The teacher gives map direction to the students in front of the
class and give an example the direction to one of the place in
map.
The teacher asks some students the direction to one of the
place in map.

Second Activity
After the students show the direction based on the map, the
teacher give some examples the direction from the place to
another place around their class and then asks about it to the
students.
For example:
The teacher: I will give you the direction to library if I am in
here (explain the direction).

Third Activity
The teacher asks two students come to in front of the class in
order to make short dialogue about asking and giving direction
the places around their class.
For example:
Putri
: Hi trisya, where are you from?
Trisya
: Hi putri, I am from Kopma.
Putri
: Where is Kopma if we are in F104 class?
Trisya
: From F104 class, go out from the class, turn left
Putri
Trisya

and go straight until you find D Lobby.


: And then?
: Turn left, and then turns right, you will meet

Putri

: Is there a Kopma?
: No, turn left and then goes straight, you will find
T-intersections, and turn right, go past BEM-U

Room and you will find Kopma.


: Thank you, Trisya. I will go to Kopma. Wanna join

III.

FINAL ACTIVITIES
The teacher asks the students to answer the questions which are given
by him/her.
To evaluate the materials which we have been learned, I will ask you
some questions. Where is the fast food restaurant if you are in the
supermarket?

Close the class by saying good bye and giving homework to the
students.
For your homework, please make the dialogue with your friend
about asking and giving the direction from the school to some places. Ok
students, thank you for your attention and don't forget to submit your
homework next meeting. See you..
