Autodesk BIM 360 Glue Integration FAQ- Internal Only

What is BIM 360 Glue?

Autodesk BIM 360 Glue is a data-centric, cloud-based management solution for building and infrastructure projects that
provides easier access to project models and data to support collaborative, multidisciplinary workflows across authoring tools
and project control applications. It enhances cross-team coordination globally as updates are immediately available in project
models. For further information on application and usage, please refer to customer case studies from Walsh Construction,
Shop, Navigant and USC.

How does it integrate with other products?

As a cloud collaboration platform, Glue is built for integration with third party systems through our open Web Services API.
Integration can be as simple as embedding the Glue 3D viewer into an application (think of embedding a youtube video in a
web page) or as sophisticated as linking BIM object data to project workflows. Integrations are built on the premise of linking,
rather than moving, data. Click here for an integration example with the construction ERP system CMiC, illustrating the
following RFI workflow:

A sample integration with the Facilities Management platform Maximo can be found on Autodesk Labs.

Which products have been integrated and how much effort is involved?
To date, Glue has been integrated with several third party systems, ranging from proofs of concept to functional applications.
These include Microsoft Sharepoint, Meridians Proliance, CMiC, Plans & Specs, Constructware, and Maximo. Depending on
the level of complexity and depth of integration, these services can take anywhere from a week to two months. At this early
stage of the product, scoping should be done with close involvement of the product team to ensure accurate estimates.

How do I identify and qualify a client who might be interested in procuring consulting services to do an
integration?
The typical profiles include large AE Firms, Construction Companies or Institutional Owners with advanced BIM adoption, who
have already implemented or are in the process of implementing an ERP, document management, project controls or facilities
management system. Keep an eye out for the following software to spot opportunities:

Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Project Controls software (CMiC, Proliance, Skire, etc.)
Document Management (Documentum, Aconex, etc.)
Facilities Management (FM) applications (Maximo, Archibus, etc.)
Web Portals (Sharepoint, etc.)
