1 Safety Instruction
1.1 Safety Instruction
There are high temperature and high pressure in the equipment. The expert who has
trained well has ability in installation, operation and maintenance.
Must abide by local safe criterion and related operate criterion in equipment installation
operation and maintenance, or may cause body injured and equipment damage. The
safety attention item mentioned in this manual is the supplement of local safe criterion.
ZTE do not take on any duties that are caused by going against safe operation, design,
manufacture and the safe standard of equipment use.

1.2 Shelter Transport Safety Statements

In order to avoid damage the shelter, use machine to upload and unload the shelter. If
the shelter will be carried to rooftop, unpack the box to reduce the volume and weight. In
the carry process, take and put the materials gently to protect the materials.

Note:
If the shelter will be installed on rooftop, when carry the shelter, forbidden non installation
engineers to access to 10 meters around the site. Set safety sign on the site at the same time.

1.3 Sign Statements

The safety symbol quoted in this manual is seen in Table 1-1 for detail, these symbols
are used to make the reader pay attention to the safety items that should be observed
when carrying on the equipment setup, the operation and the maintenance.

2 Preparation for Installation

2.1 Inspection for Installation Environment
The environment and other related inspection are necessary before the diet shelter
installation.

2.1.1 Base Construction Inspection

Check according to the following requirements:
Verify the whole layout of the site where the shelter located, check and make sure the
preparation of the basic facilities meeting the requirements is or not.
Check and make sure the ground is level, the preparation of the cement base meeting
the requirements in the base drawing is or not.
Check whether the rooftop installation proposal has gotten the approval of the owner,
when the shelter will be installed on rooftop.
The maintenance period of cement foundation has been over (usually more than 7
days), and the communication tower installation has been completed, only under this
condition, the shelter could be arranged to construct.

2.1.2 Environment Inspection

Check the environment state including temperature, humidity, atmosphere pressure,
dust and sand etc

2.1.3 Power Supply Inspection

Check the power supply capacity and quality, the quantity of the power phase,
frequency, phase voltage, line voltage, voltage fluctuation etc

2.1.4 Grounding Inspection

Check the disposal and preparation of the grounding network.

2.1.5 Other Equipments Inspection

Check other equipments related with the shelter installation, such as the generating set,
iron tower, feeder and main equipment etc., and verify these equipments whether
conform to the relevant shelter or not.

2.2 Tool Instruments Preparation

Check whether the tools and instruments for the shelter installation are complete and
whether they will be used normally or not.

2.3 Technical Documents Preparation

Check whether the technical data for installation of diet shelter is completed, And verify
whether these datum conforms to the relevant shelter. The following drawings and
documents are needed for installation of the diet shelter: Diet Shelter Installation Manual
Site Layout Drawing, Internal Layout of Shelter, The Circuit Diagram of Environment
Supervisor System, The Connection Disposal Diagram of Environment Supervisor
System, The Connection Diagram of Sensor etc.

2.4 Unpacking and Inspection

2.4.1 Unpacking Steps
1. Loosen the buckles connecting the cover and the side board, open the top cover.
2. Loosen the buckles connecting the front-side board, end-side board and the base
board ,detach the front-side board.
3. Loosen the buckles connecting the end-side board, backside board and the base
board, detach the end-side board separately.
4. Loosen the buckles connecting the backside board and the base board, detach the
backside board.
5. Remove the foam board. (No foam board omit this step)
6. Remove the shockproof film.

2.4.2 Unpacking and Inspection

1.

Check whether the packaging wooden box is damaged, and make the relevant
record.

2.

Open the wooden box according to the unpacking steps.

3.

Check whether the quantity of the goods is correct in the wooden box according to
the packaging list in the box.

4.

Check whether the goods in the box are damaged. The damaged material can be
replaced with the material in the spare goods at first, and then propose the
changing request in time.

5.

Make the relevant inspection record.

6.

ZTE personnel and user personnel should countersign the "unpacking acceptance
report" together, and return this record to the marketing department and affiliated
office in time.

3 Diet Shelter Installation

3.1 Shelter Body Installation
1.

Confirm the direction of shelter according the Site Layout Drawing;

2.

When the shelter is located on the foundation, mark the fixing hole position on the
foundation by label pen or other tools according the hole on the base steel frame;

3.

Move away the shelter, drill the holes which are 16 mm and 75mm depth on the
foundation according the marks;

4.

Clean the holes, move the foundation to the position, make sure the holes on the
base steel frame are according to the holes on concrete foundation;

5.

Put the M12X100 expansion bolts into the holes;

Note:
1. When install the expansion bolts, use the wooden board to knock the bolts;
2. If there are some steel plates in the goods, when the shelter is located, no need to move
away the shelter, use steel plates to fix the base steel frame.
6.

Install the washer spring washer and nut on the bolt, and tighten the nut.

3.2 Environment Supervisor System Installation

3.2.1 Supervisor Unit Installation
Confirm the supervisor unit location according to the Internal Layout of Shelter, fix the
supervisor unit on the bracket by floating nuts, as shown in Figure 3 -2

Note:
1. Supervisor unit is a equipment which collects the alarm signals from each monitor
equipments and transmit the signal to center or other control equipment;
2. Check the Connection Disposal Diagram of Environment Supervisor System to confirm
the connection about the supervisor unit and sensors.

3.2.2 Door Sensor Installation

Fix one part of the door sensor which has wire on doorframe by screw, fix the other part
on the top corner of door, when the door is closed, the distance of two parts is 2mm to
5mm, fix the wire of door sensor to bracket, as shown in Figure 3 -3.In the end, connect
the wire with the related interface of supervisor unit.

3.2.3 Temperature and Humidity Sensor Installation

Install the indoor temperature and humidity sensor on the shelter roof near the door, fix
the wire of sensor to bracket. In the end, connect the wire with the related interface of
supervisor unit.

3.2.4 Water Sensor Installation

Fix the water sensor on the floor near the hole,fix the wire of water sensor to bracket. In
the end, connect the wire with the related interface of supervisor unit.

3.2.5 Smog Sensor Installation

Install the smog sensor on the roof of shelter near the door, as shown in Figure 3 -4.Fix
the wire of smog sensor to bracket. In the end, connect the wire with the related
interface of supervisor unit.

3.2.6 Fan Installation

Generally, fans have been installed on the shelter in factory, connect the power wire of
fan to 48V power system on site, connect the alarm wire to supervisor unit at the same
time, fix wire to bracket.

3.2.7 Film Heating Panel Installation

Film heating panel need to be installed in battery cabinet, stick each film heating panel to
one side of bracket, and connect the power wire to 220V power system, fix wire to
bracket at the same time.

Note:
1. The temperature control switch must be put in battery cabinet.
2. The film heating panel can not be pasted on the wall.

3.2.8 Heat Exchanger Installation

Generally, the heat exchangers have been installed in factory. On site, insert the power
plug on power wire to the interface of DC INPUT on the heat exchanger, connect the
other side of wire with 48V power system. Insert the plug of alarm wire to the interface of
ALARM on heat exchanger, connect the other side to supervisor unit, as shown in Figure
3 -5. Fix all the wire to bracket at the same time. Refer the test manual to test heat
exchanger.

Note:
The wire must be disposed along the door and fix to clip, make sure the wire is in good
situation when open the door.

3.2.9 TEC Air-condition Installation

TEC air-condition has been installed on the door of shelter in factory, connect power wire
to 48V power system through the hole on the clapboard, connect the alarm wire to
supervisor unit through the hole on the clapboard. Fix all the wire to bracket at the same
time, as shown in Figure 3 -6.Refer the test manual to test TEC air-condition.

3.2.10 Hand Light Installation

Hand light has one bracket, the bracket can adsorb on the shelter wall. First, adsorb the
bracket on the right wall of shelter. Second, put the light on the bracket. Third, connect
the power wire to 48V power system, and tie up the redundant wire on the bracket.

3.3 Grounding System Installation

3.3.1 Grounding Copper Bar Installation
There are two types of grounding copper bar, one is indoor grounding copper bar which
is the equipment of grounding point for indoor equipments, the other one is outdoor
grounding copper bar which is the equipment of grounding point for feeder cable before
shelter. Generally, the indoor grounding copper bar has been installed on the shelter.
Install the outdoor grounding copper bar on the wall of shelter or on the ground
according the Site Layout Drawing.

3.3.2 Grounding Wire Installation

1.

Connect shelter body with indoor grounding copper bar by 16mm 2 grounding
wire,as shown in Figure 3 -7.

2.

Connect bracket bottom grounding point with indoor grounding copper bar by
16mm2 grounding wire.

3.

Connect indoor grounding bar to earth mat by 16mm 2 grounding wire through the
hole on the floor.

4.

Connect steel base frame to earth mat by 35 mm 2 grounding wire, fix the connector
of wire with steel base frame by M8 nut.

4 Diet Shelter Installation Quality Check

Check the installation quality whether meets the requirement according the Diet Shelter
Installation Check List.
