Cuvnt nainte
Vorbirea curent abund n folosirea expresiilor idiomatice.
Ele sunt utilizate frecvent ca fcnd parte din comunicarea
noastr, fie n limba nativ, fie n orice alt limb, indiferent de
mprejurrile n care ne aflm i devin adesea ticuri
verbale/automatisme fr ca noi, vorbitorii, s sesizm acest
lucru.
n urma leciilor predate elevilor de liceu, dar i lucrnd cu
adulii, am constatat c expresiile idiomatice/frazeologia
reprezint unul dintre capitolele plcute pe care le cuprinde
nvarea limbii engleze ca limb strin, cu observaia, ns, c
se insist de regul prea puin pe nsuirea acestora. Expresiile
sunt nvate mai mult dup ureche, se fac confuzii de nelegere
i traducere ale acestora, mai ales ale celor care nu sunt des
uzitate, confuzii cauzate de lipsa exerciiului i mai ales a
exerciiului prin traducere toate acestea ducnd la nesigurana i
nencrederea pe care vorbitorul non-nativ de limb englez le
simte n comunicarea sa cu ceilali vorbitori n aceast limb.
Abordnd frazeologia din punct de vedere traductologic,
contextual, cartea de fa este destinat elevilor de liceu din
clasele cu predare a limbii engleze la un nivel intermediaravansat, studenilor, traductorilor sau viitorilor traductori,
profesorilor de englez, ca instrument de lucru la clasele la care
predau, celor care se pregtesc pentru admiterea la facultate i,
n general, tuturor celor pentru care studiul limbii engleze este o
plcere, dar i celor pentru care cunoaterea acesteia reprezint o
necesitate.
Dei materialul vizeaz practica traducerii, am decis ca
acesta s conin i un exerciiu de tipul multiple choice care
pune accentul tot pe nsuirea unor expresii i care, ca i celelalte
seciuni, presupune folosirea dicionarului n vederea gsirii
variantei frazeologice optime i, deci, a mbuntirii lexicului.

ajutor n finalizarea acestei cri prin sugestii, corectur i timpul
