JESUS – THE EVER WILLING MESSIAH

As we approach the end of this age, the struggle to live a prosperous and abundant
life takes over the “whole duty of man”. Attention is focused on self and how to survive
by all means and at all cost. It is the devil’s strategy to make man loose focus of God as
his Sustainer. Every effort of man today is geared towards self-liberation.
It is my prayer and earnest desire that your life’s focus will change dramatically
as your spiritual eyes are opened to the will, wish and desire of God for you. In this
message, we will look at the need of the Leper as the ultimate need of man. Be careful to
deduct and follow the principles found therein religiously. Let us read from Matthew 8:1
– 4 carefully: “1 When he was come down from the mountain, great multitudes
followed him.
2 And, behold, there came a leper and worshipped him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt,
thou canst make me clean.
3 And Jesus put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will; be thou clean. And
immediately his leprosy was cleansed.
4 And Jesus saith unto him, See thou tell no man; but go thy way, shew thyself to
the priest, and offer the gift that Moses commanded, for a testimony unto them.
Right from Bible days, a leper is considered an outcast because of the nature of
the disease. We might not go into deep analysis of the disease here and now but consider
its cure as the embodiment of the whole need of man. It can represent your quest for
power and fame, prosperity, happy and successful marriage, career and business freedom.
It can also mean deliverance from spiritual bondage to a certain sinful nature, ancestral
covenant and curses, sicknesses and terminal hereditary diseases and the list goes on.
Seeking for solution to these can take a whole life time unless one knows the right
source.
Knowing the right source is the very heart of this message. The Leper (who
represents the burdened and troubled humanity) met with Jesus and worshipped Him.
This is the FIRST STEP towards getting the problems of mankind solved. In all
your struggles and quest for freedom, have you met with Jesus? The Leper knew the
source of his freedom and how to approach Him. HE WORSHIPPED HIM. Matthew 6:
31 -36 says - “31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What
shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father
knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things
shall be added unto you.
Do you know what that means? It simply means the Leper submitted everything
he had and was to Jesus. His time, energy, talent and substances were turned over to the
Lord. The Leper knew that God is a generous and gracious Giver – James 1:5, 6. He
surrendered his all and then made the life changing demand – “Lord, if thou wilt (if you
want to; if you wish; if t is your desire) thou canst make me clean.” He knew it was
within the powers of the Lord to make him clean but what he did not know was whether
it was the will, wish or desire of God to make him clean. That is what most people do not
know today and that is why you are privileged to have this message.

Jesus’ response is very revealing. Look at it again – “And Jesus put forth his
hand, and touched him, saying, I will; be thou clean.” Is it not surprising that the Lord
touched the Leper first as He expressed His desire to make him clean? What a
demonstration of love from the EVER WILLING MESSIAH. The epistle of I John 3:17,
18 says – “17 But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need,
and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in
him?
18 My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in
truth.
Jesus said, “I will be thou clean” In order words, it is my wish and desire for you to be
clean.
It is interesting to know that the Lord’s wish for mankind is to have the best of all
things or the best that life could offer. It is written – “For I know the thoughts that I
think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an
expected end.” - Jeremiah 29:11. “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest
prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.” - 3 John 2.
Friend, it is God’s desire that you live prosperously; live in good health; enjoy
your marriage with children round about your table; enjoy authentic salvation and
deliverance, etc, without struggle. But the devil never wishes mankind peace of heart. It
is written – “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am
come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” –
John 10:10. Abundant life is part of the bread of God’s children. But how many people
know this?
The scripture says, “. And immediately his leprosy was cleansed.” It cost the
Leper nothing besides total submission to the will of God. The Preacher said, “Let us
hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments:
for this is the whole duty of man. For God shall bring every work into judgment,
with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.” – Ecclesiastes
12:13, 14.
If you can only do His will and maintain a right standing with the Lord, His grace
will see you through life’s turbulent times. It is the devil’s strategy to keep you
preoccupied with life’s challenging pressures. He makes you to look for solutions where
they exist not. All other crutches are empty and the devil makes you to rely on them. The
scripture says, “Thus saith the LORD, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom,
neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his
riches: But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth
me, that I am the LORD which exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and
righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith the LORD.” – Jeremiah
9:23, 24. The ultimate here is the knowledge of the LORD.
A major PROBLEM I found with this generation is lack of patience. The devil
therefore takes undue advantage of man’s impatience to rob him of God’s precious gift of
eternal life in Christ. We live in a jet age and every body wants to get to the top in a
twinkle of an eye. In an attempt to get there, we do so many things against the will of
God. Patience is a vital virtue, so cultivate it. James says – “My brethren, count it all
joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith
worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect

and entire, wanting nothing.” – James 1:2 – 4. Can you see that when patience has been
perfected in your life, you will lack nothing? What a principle to adopt! Due to lack of
patience, most people easily submit and succumb to the suggestions and offer of
“freedom” from the devil and his cohorts. That is why you see a lot of people today
seeking solution from spiritists such as false prophets, babalawos, marine witches and
other mediums. People find it ease to worship the creature instead of the Creator. That is
abomination! But the wise Leper worshipped JESUS.
I want you to note the following with precision:
• Jesus is ever willing to reach out and deliver you but are you ever willing to
worship Him?
• The worship of the Lord plays a significant role in your relationship with God.
• The devil demands worship from his followers as he promises them vain
blessings. And most importantly note that
• The devil does not have any free gift.

Now are you ready to surrender your life to the Lord Jesus Christ? It is simple! It costs
you nothing but giving up sinning and following the path of righteousness. It guarantees
you eternal life with God in His kingdom. Take a decision right now that will change
your whole perception of life. Do not allow the devil to convince you otherwise; he is a
liar! You can have life eternal! Just humble your heart and ask Jesus to come into your
life right now. Ask Him to forgive you all your sins and wash you in His precious blood.
Thank you for doing that. Congratulations and God bless you forever!
