INDIVIDUAL WORK:
The students must make up sentences; translate sentences from Romanian/Russian into English
and by vice versa; make up stories; analyse different sentences from the exercises and from
different texts.

MODE OF ASSESSMENT:
At the end of the course the knowledge of the subject is assessed at the examination which is
done in a written form. The tasks included in the examination card can be as it follows:
to read the text and complete the gaps with the correct form of the word (nouns,
pronouns, adjectives, verbs, prepositions);
to transform the sentences changing nouns into pronouns;
to change the sentences using pro-forms;
to change the words by transforming prefixes and suffixes;
to use the equivalents of the modal verbs;
to change the forms of the finite verbs according to tenses.
REQUIREMENTS FOR THE EXAMINATION:
The examination is taken in a written form, and it is preceded by a test. The test consists of
20 questions on the problems studied during the course. Each question corresponds to 0.5
points. The mark is evaluated according to the number of correct answers.
STRATEGY OF EVALUATION:
1. Correct answers to all questions contained in the test 50%
2. Correct answers to all questions from the examination card 50%
THE VALUE OF THE EXAMINATION MARKS:

- all questions answered correctly; no mistakes in the test.

- one grammatical mistake in the work at the exam; one orthographical mistake in
the test is permitted.
