Use some of the welcome text we used to have for MFL. Or
AMC to use her lovely words!
Either create a subfolder on the homepage right after English
Language Centre that would link to information about MFL or
create links on the right hand side when you click on any MFL
course. The info that should be included are the following:

Research page: no visibility of what we do

The Partnership page has no reference to Languages.

Professional Placement information under our BA (hons) French

and Spanish. Some of the info is wrong.

Unilang is not present at all. This is crucial as its our institutionwide programme and faculties need to be aware of it. More
importantly, students were tested via an online test and this has
disappeared.
Under study with us again MFL is invisible

Replace Studying French and Spanish at Northumbria is about
much more than developing excellent oral and written
communication skills. We are looking for students who want to
live and breathe all aspects of French, Spanish and Latin
American culture.
The course is delivered in multimedia digital language
laboratories using authentic, contemporary and stimulating
materials from these countries. Your studies are underpinned by
a range of option pathways including film, history, linguistics,
literature and politics.
A one-year placement abroad is offered, enabling you to truly
experience your country of choice. During this time you could
apply to the British Council English Language Assistantship,
undertake an internship, volunteer and/or study at a partner
university.
Flexibility in your year abroad enables you to gain experience for
whichever path you wish your career to take. Throughout the
course there is a strong emphasis on employability via taskbased learning and specialist language skills development, such
as interpreting and translation, and a programme of guest
lectures delivered by professionals.
The success of this approach is clear, as 100% of our students

have been satisfied with their course for the last three years
(National Student Survey). It is also reflected in the quality of
internships we are able to offer our students, with companies
such as Procter & Gamble, which in most instances lead to the
offer of permanent employment. By
