According to Reynolds. G (2013) in his writing, he
included a statement from Dr. Phyllis Zee, a professor of
neurology and director of the Sleep Disorder Center at
Northwestern University in Chicago, said that Exercise,
sleep and nutrition form the triangle of health, and all are
connected,. Therefore, maintaining regular exercise,
consuming a proper diet and having sufficient sleep will
give better improvement for our health.

Firstly, exercise can defend our body from many chronic
diseases such as heart disease, diabetes and cancer.
From an online article written by Kotz, D. (2010),
according to Elissa Epel, an associate professor of
psychiatry at University of California, San Francisco
stated that by doing physical activity, it could prevent
extreme rumination (p. 36). Besides, by exercising we
could diminish the signs of depression by developing the
growth of neurons in particular brain regions damaged
during depression. We can also increase the level of our
brain chemicals by exercising which will enhance brain
activity. In brief, exercise takes good care of our wellbeing and maintain our body condition, as well as
increase our brains performance.

Next, we should focus on dieting to improve our health.
We should consume vitamins, minerals and
phytochemicals that are discovered in fruits and greens
which will guard our body from illnesses. These nutrients
play important roles as an antioxidants as well as
preventing the development of cancer cells. Apart from
that, breakfast plays a major role in our diet. Morello, G.
(2010) a writer for Better Nutrition magazine wrote that

those who tend to skip breakfast are more likely to suffer


from overweight problems and have higher blood sugar
levels which bring us closer to the risk of getting chronic
diseases (p. 20-24). Consequently, we should practice the
healthy diet guided by the food pyramid, lower our sugar
intake and of course, never skip breakfast in order to
maintain our health.

Another way to improve our health is by having enough
sleep every day to keep a peaceful mind and a healthy
body. Inadequate sleep has a strong connection with
weight gain. New York Amsterdam News (2007) reported
that according to the renowned Nurses Health Study,
people who sleep less than five hours a night, tend to
have 32 percent to gain weight (p. 31-36). Gaining of
weight happens when the body metabolize calories less
smoothly. Inadequate sleep may also cause behavior
problems. For example, majority of children with lack of
sleep are diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity
Disorder (ADHD). As a conclusion, it is essential to have
the same sleep schedule every night to avoid sleep
deprivation the next morning.

In a nutshell, we have discovered the significance of
improving our physical routine, having adequate sleep
and balancing our eating habit in order to live longer and
enjoy the bliss of life in the future.
