OIL/GAS FIELDS EXPERIENCE :

About 34 years of comprehensive teaching/operational experience in Oil & Gas industry with major oil companies in the
Middle East & earlier in India.Well experienced in the operation of oil/gas production and processing facilities viz.
3-phase oil/gas/water separation,gas compression plant,gas dehydration unit , utility plant (instrument air compressors &
cooling water systems),Water Flood plant, multiwell wellhead jackets (using secondary oil recovery methods such as
gas-lift and water flood ) etc.Thorough knowledge of facility and equipment commissioning , start up and operations,
facility isolation , contractor’s supervision , material ordering/procurement & inspection. Excelled in operation of various
types of turbines , compressors , pumps & trouble shooting etc.Assisted in preparation of Operation Manuals for the
station.Hands on experience on DCS and good computer proficiency.

TEACHING/TRAINING EXPERIENCE:

(a) From 14 December,2003 to July,2006 (2 yrs,8 months) , worked as Process Instructor on secondment to
Qatar Petroleum’s Training Centre,Doha—Qatar in collaboration with TAFE INTERNATIONAL,Western Australia
(TIWA).
(b) Again from April,2007 to April,2009 (2 yrs) worked as Process Instructor on secondment to Qatar Pertoleum’s
Training Centre, Doha-Qatar in collaboration with Holmesglen Institute of TAFE, Australia
Responsible for Process Training to the new Qatari School/College graduates using Competency based Training
Programs.The job involved:
*Evaluation of effectiveness of training programs & implementation of improvements.
*Record keeping & preparation of training progress reports against the established targets & standards.
*Preparation & development of training modules for the young trainees.
*Major duties include imparting CLASS-ROOM TRAINING / PRACTICAL TRAINING, visits for
familiarization & evaluation of the trainees recruited for various hydrocarbon related industries in Qatar.

OFFSHORE OIL/GAS FIELDS EXPERIENCE DETAILS:

(1) Worked in Qatar Petroleum, Doha-Qatar from July,1990 to October,2003 (13 years) as a Senior Production
Technician and responsible for the safe production/operations of 3-phase oil/gas separation plants, gas compression
plant , Gas dehydration unit,utility plants such as cooling water systems,instrument air compressors, power
generation systems, and multiwell wellhead jackets which used gas lift as a secondary recovery method.Extensively
involved in commissioning/tie-in/start-up of new projects/ventures with multi-cultural & multi-lingual work-force.
Worked for ‘OCCIDENTAL PETROLEUM COMPANY(QATAR) LIMITED –OXY’ on secondment from
January,1995 to August,1999.

(2) Worked in Dubai Petroleum Company,Dubai (UAE) , a subsidiary of Continental Oil Company (CONCO) USA
As a Senior Production Operator from Oct,1976 to May,1990 (13 ½ years).The job involved the operation of
2- phase oil/gas separation plants,water flood plants,central gas compression plants & multiwell wellhead platforms
(which utilize gas lift & water injection for secondary methods) , problems encountered with flowing wells &
their sub-surface equipment, safety systems, routine maintenance of installations/rotating-static equipment,
vessels inspections etc.

ONSHORE OIL/GAS FIELD EXPERIENCE DETAILS

 Worked as Technical Assistant Grade-1 (Production) in Oil & Natural Gas Commission (ONGC) , Ahmedbad(India),
in the ONSHORE FIELDS from May,1974 to Oct,1976 (2 ½ years). The job involved the operation of oil/gas
Group Gathering Stations , demulsification of crude oil , wells testing & operation of sucker rod pumps etc.
(The job title was redesigned as Assistant Engineer (Production) later on ) .

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
Obtained 200-hours study certificate in Petroleum Technology Series by AMERICAN PETROLEUM
INSTITUTE (USA). This self-study program was arranged by Dubai Petroleum Company,Dubai(UAE) in
association with AMERICAN PETROLEUM INSTITUTE (USA).
