Arecellphonesbridgingthedigitaldivideordeepeningit?
Themainreasonfordigitaldivideistheaffordabilityofthecellphones.Withtheadventof
smartphonesatanaffordableprice,cellphonesinawaytrytobridgethedigitaldivide
betweentheruralandurbanareas.Butthisdigitaldividehasnotbeenbridgedcompletely
duetothehesitanceofruralpeopleinupgradingtheircellphonestosmartphones.Theyare

guidanceofhowtooperatewiththesekindsofphones.Hence,itcanbeconcludedthatcell
phonesarenottryingtodividethesocietyintoclassesorstrata.Moreover,itcanbeusedto

Inreality,peopleinurbanareasarepossessingsmartphoneswhereastheruralpeopleare
stillusingthesimplephonesthatonlybasicfeatures.So,evenwiththecellphonetryingto

useofsmartphonesintheurbanareas.
